Chapter 8

As I entered the class I saw many familiar faces, each one of them surrounded by bunch of students. They were the star kids of this generation, all assembled in the same year in the same class.

I quickly grabbed a corner seat siding the wall of the classroom in last row. After fitting in I started looking at 5 specific students.

Rank 1 - Elliott Barns -

He was the first ranker of Grace's Entrance exam showing a great power and potential. The most shocking thing was that nobody knew about him whatsoever. Before the exam he was a complete nobody.

Rank 2 - Garrett Blade -

Garrett was the epitome of a real 'Young Master'. He was born with a golden spoon and had a terrifying family background. He was the sole heir of a Diamond Grade Guild. And the only son of SS-Rank Mage Railey Blade. Garrett would often show up on news and articles since his childhood and was praised to be an unparalleled genius. He had never lost in anything he has participated until this entrance exam.

' This guy is glaring at Elliott ever since I came in the class. How much ego does this guy has? 'I am never getting along with that guy

Rank 3 - Juhie Sen -

Juhie was a rare talent who can use light essence element to attack. According to this world, light element can only be used for healing. Juhie was the first to use it to attack. Her attack was also very powerful. Powerful enough to be the 3rd rank among millions of participants. Even her healing magic was superb. She had a title of 'Paladin' given to her by the church.

Rank 8 - Amisha Loren

Amisha is the heir of the world's biggest business group. She is also used to make headlines in many articles and magazines. She is the definition of a genius entrepreneur.

Rank 36 - Somia Gargalo

Like Garrett, Somia is also an heir to a Diamond Grade Guild and her father has the same power level as Garrett's father. She is an academic genius and has a number of thesis on her name already. She was the one Garrett is chasing after.

No matter how I look at it, this was the lineup of the generation. And what's with their faces, are they all from Hollywood. In front of them everyone else was equivalent to a stone.

After few minutes the class was already full.

There were a total of 100 students in our class.

At that moment, someone arrived from the front door and stood still on the teacher's platform.

Every one stopped doing what they were doing and all of them focused on a single person.

The once noisy class transformed into a complete silence.

Adrienne Miller.

The ethereal beauty standing in front of the class was none other than Adrienne Miller also known as ' The Witch of Flames '. The youngest person to reach the rank S.

She was so hot and beautiful that even as an adult, my whole body was reacting to her beauty. It was just a perfect body however one looks at it.

"Listen class, My name is Adrienne Miller and I am assigned as your homeroom teacher for your all three years throughout the Academy. I hope everyone will do their best for this year."

She gave the class a good look, especially the five stars of our class. With a hint of pride she continued. . .

" Alright let's start with attendance,

" Hmm . . . All the students are present. Great! I have huge expectation from you lot. This year we have some extraordinary talents in our class. I hope you people will grow into strong and respected mages when you go out and become a powerful ally of humanity. That's All!

Now, Get ready in five minutes as your first lecture will be an outfield training. You will be choosing your main weapon there, So think it through before coming." She left the class after saying her last words.

Since the only weapon art I know is sword then there is only a single option for me. It was quite an easy decision.

As I already made my decision, I looked around the class for others choice, but what I got from them was shocking.

' Wow! It's the Red Witch'

'We never knew our homeroom teacher was her!'

'Miss Adrienne Miller, I LOVE YOU!!'

The boys around me were busy going crazy over our teacher. Well as an adult, even I lost it at the start looking at her and they are just kids. The ones who were just now running there mouths were all from the bottom rankings in the class.

Even my own rank just comes in average.

On the other hand, all of the five stars and their groups are already moving towards the training grounds. That was the difference between elites and seat fillers. Since I have also chosen my weapon, I too started moving towards the training grounds.

The training ground was huge. In a corner of the ground Miss Adrienne was standing with many students standing in front of her. There was a huge gate behind her which was currently locked. When I went there, I did the same thing the other students were doing. When the given Five minute slot was over, Miss Adrienne opened the gates and lead us in.

"This is the weapon armory for your stay at the academy and for academic activities. You can use your weapon taken from this armory anywhere you want. Since you are not allowed to use your personnel weapons in Academic grounds, these will be your partners till then. Choose well and after choosing come straight to the grounds." Without a second look she marched to the center of the training grounds.

The room we entered was filled with weapons. A single glance and I could tell that they were all E grade weapons. The sword Rey had was only a trashy F grade sword thanks to his family. So getting an E grade sword was very much appreciated.

The swords I or to say the Rey of this world preferred was a long double-edged sword. And there was a sword exactly suited to my tastes in the sword armory. I quickly picked up the sword with it's sheath and quickly stood up behind the students who were already at the ground.

As there were still some students still selecting their weapons, I started looking at other student's weapon of choice. First there were two people among our five stars who chose sword as their weapon. They were namely - Elliott and Juhie. Elliott with a long single blade sword with a curved end, kind of like 'shamshir' from Earth while Juhie was holding a broadsword.

Garrett was holding a spear while Somia had a bow. The most unique of the five was Amisha. She was holding twin daggers which was very rare in this world. The weapons of the rest of the students were basically divided into sword, spear, bow. After everyone gathered around the center of the grounds, Miss Adrienne finally made her move.

"Alright everyone listen up, there will be a mock battle between you all. Look at the screen above, you all are randomly partnered up with your classmate. And you will be facing your partner right here, right now. You all have ten minutes to strategize for your matches."

After I heard teacher's words and looked up on the screen for my opponent. As I looked I was left stunned.
