Chapter 24: Down and Out
“Maybe it’s not the pizza place that’s cursed, maybe it’s me, because look what happened, Hannah,” I moan lying on my bed, talking to my best friend.
It’s 9:17 a.m. Monday morning. I called in sick to work to hide from the world and decided to call Hannah. Thank goodness her salon doesn’t open until noon on Mondays.
“You’re not cursed.” Hannah’s voice is stern on the other line to drive her point home. “I’m sorry you were outed though. That sucks. I don’t even know how you must feel.”
I know what she’s referring to.
There are Shiftok videos going viral about the Lycan Alert incident at Cafe De Stagiaires. Though most people had taken the videos from such a distance that no one could identify anyone in the video, one had been taken from a closer angle.
In that video, you could clearly see all three of D’Angelo’s, Michelle’s, and my full faces. Their eyes were glowing yellow, and mine were glowing green.
