Going Home

—————————————————————

-Morning, 276 AC-

Finally, it was time for our two heroes to go back home. They made all the preparations for the trip and made sure to leave precisely around four in the morning. They were joined by the Mormont party they constantly talked to the night prior and throughout the tournament. Jorah was excited to know that Justus had accepted his proposition of an alliance between their houses in exchange for rights to lands around their island, including fishing and hunting. Justus wanted to build another castle similar to Windhelm upon the isle, someplace equally isolated from the mainland, so that attacks were not as detrimental.

The same could not be said with Kelemen, who wanted to spend more time with Dacey Mormont. Still, Justus was critical in his directives that they would return to Skagos and complete additional development and redesigns before they could do anything that counted as 'leisure.' The trip home was luckily quiet and peaceful, winter was already starting again, but it didn't seem to bother the two knights.

To make it clear once more, Justus and Kelemen's first plan was to become Lords of a reasonable amount of land, develop it, rule it, and make it prosper. However, they needed help; that was when they had the North come in. For example, the brothers helped manage the 'Last River' (Also by Houses Umber, Karstark, and Wull), giving the rest of the North and Skagos a passage for significant trade connections. Other than that, Kelemen and Justus introduced new forms of housing (Breezehome or Honeyside type shit) to the North, allowing a considerable advantage during the winter and shipping them supplies such as food. All this work for their allies would help form strong bonds, which would lend them certain things needed to stay ahead during the winter or times of war.

On their island, things were a bit different. The mines needed more workers since the mines were more surplus than expected. Hence they would have to go to places like Braavos to convince men and women to follow them home or buy them out of slavery. The whalers also left food in abundance, adding some variety, which helped with things such as diets.

"I think we should make some glasshouses, start creating our own glass, y'know? The industry may have been slow, but come next year, we should be able to provide the entire continent glass." Kelemen suggested. "We will have enough funds from the gold and silver mines to pay us back our debts soon anyway."

"Agreed, let's do that," Justus approved. "Schools and education seem to work nicely as planned; many of our people now can read and write."

"I'm glad you thought of that; it went completely over my head that we should be educating our people of the most common things," Kelemen said with a little scratch at the back of his helmet. "By the way, about that deal with Tywin, you told me about..."

"Jesus has already made arrangements; he said he'll get it done after his next stream," Justus said plainly before Kelemen turned to him while smacking his head to realize something.

"Aw man, now I feel like shit; I really do miss his stuff," Kelemen said sadly. "Thanks for reminding me..."

Justus shook his head in disappointment and sighed. "No problem, bub."

-Afternoon, Skagos, 276 AC-

-3 Months Later-

The rest of the ride back was pretty uneventful, some animals tried to attack the two brothers on their way home when they parted from the Mormont party, but they were easily scared off. Currently, Justus was seen walking around his town, almost 30 thousand people; insane, right? The castle (dubbed 'Primus Fortufacatus') was developed for two months and looked smashing; the exterior was situated on a cliffside, overlooking the beautiful ocean, and its interior was covered head to toe with banners, lights and displayed weaponry. It was rather medieval and 'For Honor' styled, to be honest, with nothing too much to go off of other than the lights from the sun that helped illuminate the castle during the sunrise and the afternoon. Anyway, Kelemen was in the personal study, reading documents and checking if any issues ought to be handled on their remote island.

"Jesus... this sucks ass," Kelemen said to himself while placing another document in a pile. "I can't get a break... how come he gets to waltz around town?"

—————————————————————

Somewhere else, Justus was walking down the cobblestone street in his Valyrian 'Tedeus' armor, with his sword 'Gardakan' to his left side (There was a Latin engraving along the blade which read "Quaero, et Invenio"). Speaking of swords, Jesus did make him a blade for Tywin, but it wasn't really what was originally designed; he said it was called 'Brightroar' or something. Justus paid no mind and immediately sent it to Tywin by tying to blade to about 20 ravens...

—————————————————————

-Flashback, 3 Weeks Earlier-

"Annnnd finished." Justus finished typing the 20th raven to the sword. "NOW FLY!"

The ravens then took off slowly but surely, they would have an arduous journey from all the weight they were carrying, but it shouldn't take too long, probably a few days.

-4 Days Later-

Justus woke up in a daze in his bed after a long day of working and training. Suddenly, he felt a feather fall onto his forehead and looked at it closely before realizing it was a raven feather. Justus opened his eyes completely and saw that he was surrounded by 20 of his messenger birds; they all stared at him and tilted their heads. Justus was terrified for once in his life, he slowly tried to rise out of bed, but the birds would peck his forehead or 'caw' at him to stay. That was when Kelemen showed up and opened the door.

"Good morning, dear brother-" Kelemen stopped opening the door when he saw that 20 birds suddenly looked at him with dead eyes; he looked at Justus, who had eyes that said 'help me.' "Understandable, have a good day." Kelemen shut the door, and running was heard down the hall.

"YOU HAVE BETRAYED ME?!" Justus cried before being attacked by all 20 ravens simultaneously; they pecked and pinched his skin with their beaks for the next few hours. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!-"

—————————————————————

-Present-

"I should return the favor someday..." Justus reminded himself while biting his lip and talking more slowly. "Definitely... has to be... painful."

He continued walking around and saw how everything was done; people were talking and engaging in commerce amongst each other, the guards were stoic as usual, and the domestic animals such as cats and dogs chased each other in the streets and alleyways. Life was good in Windhelm. After greeting many people, Justus eventually circled around and returned to his castle on the cliffside; he had work to do.

The military academy was, of course, finished and being manned by his best captains and was training nine thousand knights nowadays. They were given armors primarily that of 'Wardens' (Arcturus, Haedus, and Loran with the Sickly/Iron Legion color scheme), while the 'Lawbringers' were a special breed who required a more hands-on training with Kelemen himself. Justus and Kelemen agreed that their army shouldn't exceed ten thousand because continuing to grow their army anymore, with how powerful it is, would be very dangerous if handled by an irresponsible lord (Justus and Kelemen's children). The commanders who ran the military academy were primarily given epic-grade armors such as the 'Lionheart' (provided to those who show outstanding or exceptional courage and bravery) or 'Chimera Consiliator' (given to those who conduct themselves as a mediator between disputing peoples or groups, they are usually the diplomats sent to houses). Other than that, the warden and lawbringer military branch's (is what I'm calling it since they will be sent throughout the realm to keep order and law, HENCE LAWBRINGER AND WARDEN) hierarchy would be determined from armor appearances (Legendary = Leaders, Epic = Commanders, Heroic = Captains, Rare = NCOs, Common = Plain Knights), weaponry was the same.

"I feel something should be made to simplify all this... maybe some document?" Justus thought before climbing the steps to his castle. "That can wait for another time; right now, I gotta plan my revenge against that betrayer."
