43 Liverpool Academy Team

Just like the previous day After exercising in the gym for about 30 minutes they quickly rushed to the locker room had a shower before they went to the seminar room for the analysis.

The analysis from the Coaches now contained more detailed actions and information for the various players and what they could also expect from some of the Liverpool players.

"I think we shouldn't go to the gym again today and not over do it and risk getting injured during the match tomorrow." John said as they left the seminar room after the Coaches were done with the analysis.

Tony could only agree with the John's suggestion since a young player also had to try and control the amount of pressure they put on some parts of there body especially when it was close to a match.

So they decided not to go for extra training and simply went directly home.

The next day Tony woke up properly rested and itching to go play in the match but had to stay home the whole morning since the match was to begin by 2pm.

Tony stayed home with his family the whole morning and left to go to the Academy around noon. His parents and brother would only start there journey to the academy around past 1, since there were not going to be a lot of fans causing delays like in the main stadium of the first team.

Tony picked John up and they went to the locker room to prepare for the match with the other players. The coaches put one or two things in other as they also quickly went through some of the tactical arrangements.

The atmosphere was more serious and tense as Tony felt he was experiencing the feeling of being involved in a match between the top teams of the league.

After all the players were ready, Coach Taylor gave them some motivation words before they moved to the tunnel leading to the pitch as they waited for the referees signal to begin the match formalities.

'I checked all the players and have found a B+ stamina skill from a player with a basic condition of Manchester City winning the match.' Rose mind communicated to Tony as they finally began to enter the pitch for the match formalities.

'I have to say that is just basically a bonus condition as I really want to also win the match.' Tony said as they walked on to the pitch to receive the cheers from the screaming Man City fans.

As the match formalities were going on, Tony asked Rose to help him find his friends and family, which she later found after a while and directed his gaze to where they were seated.

'We really must win this match.' Tony said in his mind as he was really determined to win the match as he was happy that his friends were here to finally watch him in a competitive match for the first time, but he at least didn't want to lose the first match they came to watch.

After a while the match formalities were over and the players took there position as the Liverpool players kicked off the match.

Liverpool held possession as they established a rhythm in the game and tried to break the defense of Man City.

Man City was in a formation of 4-5-1 as they focused on defending the spaces when they didn't have the ball. They tried to quickly hit Liverpool on the counter anytime they got hold of the ball or simply just look for chances to score a goal.

Tony dropped deeper to join the other two central midfielders of his team as they focused on setting a match pace when a counter was not possible.

The man city players all passed amongst themselves as they strived to control the match. Liverpool also occasionally got back hold of possession and tried to hit city on the counter or find chances to put the ball in the net.

Their had been some half chances from both teams but around the 15th minute, Liverpool created the best chance of the match so far, when there team's left winger broke through the right side of man city's defense and faced the keeper from a tight angle.

Due to the angle being tight and the liverpool winger focused on only scoring a goal instead of creating a chance for his teammates, he selfishly aimed and shot the ball towards the bottom left corner of the post where the Man City keeper easily gathered the ball.

After that both teams continued to try and create a chance to score the opening goal. In the 19th minute Tony finally created a chance as he threaded a fine through pass for a Central midfielder on his team who was presently forward and close to beating the last defensive line of Liverpool.

Tony released the pass and the midfielder chased the ball along with a defender from Liverpool who tried to disrupt the chance. The striker and other attacking players from man city attracted the attention from the other Liverpool players giving the midfielder a chance to get the ball and face the keeper.

The midfielder got to the ball at the edge of the box and started moving into the box, as the defenders tried to close down on him before he decided to shoot the ball from inside the box.

He shot the ball towards the post, but the ball was too close to the keeper who easily saved the ball. After that chance both teams continued to try and create chances to score a goal.

The game was very difficult and tight as both teams defended well and effectively. But around the 35th minute Liverpool finally opened the scoreline as the midfielders of Liverpool used a series of short passes amongst themselves as they created a narrow chance for there team's striker to face the keeper.

The Liverpool striker used his left foot and clinically dispatched the ball into the bottom right corner of the post as the man city keeper dived but failed to stop the ball.

Immediately the ball went into the net the liverpool players jumped up in celebration and huddled up together close to the corner flag to celebrate the goal.

The man city players, staffs and fans were all briefly dejected and silent for a while as they watched the Liverpool players celebrate.

After a moment Coach Taylor and the Man City Captain began to shout and encourage the players in other for them to regain there focus as the Liverpool players went back to there half of the pitch for the match to resume.
