39 After The Match

The City players were happy as they congratulated each other and sympathized a little with the West Brom players.

The players all then went to the locker room to shower and change there clothes. The mood was not as lively as the dramatic win against Everton, but it was still very lively as the players happily conversed with each other and changed into there clothes.

The players were in a good mood as they had won the game relatively comfortable. They were mostly still dressing up when Coach Taylor and the other staffs came into the locker room.

"Very good and nice match lads. It was even better as we were able to do this away from home. This shows me your mental fortitude and strength as none of you faltered or crumbled under the pressure from the fans in the stadium."

"Most of you haven't checked the match schedules yet, this Wednesday we would be facing the Newcastle team in the round 3 of the FA cup match. It would be another away match at the academy stadium of Newcastle."

"The match is very important as it's still too early for us to get knocked out of the cup ..." Coach Taylor talked to the players, after a while before they took the team bus and began there journey back to Manchester.

Since they had a midweek match and the journey wasn't too far, they drove back home that same evening and training was fixed for Monday morning. Sunday was for the players to recover there fitness, while the other players who didn't travel with the squad were to have training on Sunday afternoon in other to prepare and continue to train for the match on Wednesday.

Tony told his family about the match when he was having dinner at home. He told them about the difference in the away match atmosphere and the performance from his teammates as he tried to not emphasize his input in the game.

After they talked for a while he went into his room and was about to sleep when Rose voice reminded him.

"Hey aren't you forgetting something?" she said in a playful manner.

"Ahhh am actually forgetting something as good as this, what other players could nearly kill to possess" he said in a playful but thoughtful voice.

"They could only dream of having an assistant like me" Rose said in an aloof manner as Tony laughed out loud for a while, it was just his luck or some unexplainable phenomenon to have this wonderful system.

"Please copy the Strength Skill of B+" he had achieved the skill condition of scoring at least a goal in the match.

Rose copied the skill as the cold familiar feeling came over Tony. He was excited as having a strength of B+ was really good and he would not easily be man handled by defenders again.

He previously had a strength skill of C- and would not easily lose in a tussle with other players but now he knew he could easily out muscle the average players.

Sunday Tony and his family were at home, his friends called and came over to his place to hangout in the afternoon.

Tony set up the game and brought snacks as they discussed and played matches against each other.

When they were tired of playing against each other for a while, they went out in Tony's car.

"Hey there is this new restaurant I found out this weak, there dishes are prepared by a great chef who is very popular online and there prices are not too overblown" Paul suggested.

They went there and found it was a very classy restaurant and if Tony didn't have the money from his football bet, he would never have gone to such a place as the prices were above the norm.

But when they tasted the dishes they had ordered, they had no choice but to completely agree with the prices.

"Wonderful! this is simply one of the best restaurants in town and thank God there prices are not as astronomical as those Five star restaurants"

Tom commented as all four boys enjoyed themselves and ate to there fill. After eating they rested for a while as they continued to talk about different things.

As it was already getting late they agreed to split the bill and went out of the restaurant. Tony dropped of three of them before he then drove back home.

He enjoyed his day as he could completely relax with his friends and unwind. They were his closest companions especially now that he had yet to have a girlfriend.

'Hey Rose the next you should help me find now is definitely a girlfriend"

Tony said comically as he lay on his bed in his room. He was only joking around with Rose but felt he should still concentrate on football for the main time.

The next morning he was very happy as he joined his parents and George for breakfast downstairs.

He had his breakfast before he went back upstairs to prepare for the day's training.

Tony drove as he went over to pick John up who he had already called and was waiting for him at the front of his house.

"Hey Tony, how was yesterday's rest?" John asked as he got into the car and Tony began to drive towards the academy.

"It was just wonderful and relaxing as I also got to hang with my pals all day. Oh I forgot your goal on Saturday was simply something to behold. What a goal!"

"Haha it's all thanks to you since you already told me you would try your best to put me through on a one v one situation, I had been mentally preparing myself and weighing my options before the chance finally came."

John quickly replied happily as he still found the memory very pleasing. They continued to discuss about there weekend as they drove to the academy.

Since Tony bought his car he no longer had to leave home as early as before since he wasn't going with the bus. He just timed himself and picked John up before they both drove to the academy and changed into there training kits.

They got to the academy and went to the locker room to change there clothes before they went to join the other players on the training pitch.
