The start

Asahi and Miguel found themselves in the bathroom, a place of privacy amidst the bustling event outside.

Asahi turned to Miguel, a friendly smile on his face. "Alright, buddy, let's get you changed into that custom outfit. It's going to be a game-changer for you, trust me."

Miguel hesitated, his eyes darting around nervously. "I... I know this is for the team, Asahi, but I'm not so comfortable with changing in front of someone else."

Asahi leaned against the bathroom counter, crossing his arms. "Miguel, my friend, I get it. We all have our quirks and insecurities. But trust me, you've got nothing to be ashamed of."

Miguel looked down at the tiled floor, his cheeks turning a shade of pink. "It's just... you know, the only people who've seen me without clothes are my parents. I'm not used to this."

Asahi nodded, understanding Miguel's feelings. "I get it, but sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zones to grow and seize opportunities. You're a great guy, and you shouldn't let anything hold you back."

Miguel's face looked complicated and worried at the same time, but after a few seconds the seemed to have mustered some courage.

With a deep breath, Miguel decided to give it a try. He began to remove his shirt slowly, his embarrassment palpable. As the shirt came off, Asahi couldn't help but notice that Miguel was a bit overweight.

Miguel noticed Asahi's gaze and quickly grabbed another shirt to put on. He spoke softly, "I usually wear black and two shirts to, you know, hide my physique. I don't want others to notice."

Asahi gave him an encouraging smile. "You know, Miguel, you've got a warm heart and a great personality. Don't let your appearance overshadow that. Be confident in yourself."

Miguel sighed, still a bit hesitant. "I try, Asahi, but... it's not easy."

Asahi walked over to Miguel and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You're not alone in this, buddy. We'll support you every step of the way."

Miguel hesitated for a moment before deciding to trust Asahi. He removed the extra shirt and took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this."

As Asahi helped Miguel into the custom outfit, a sense of excitement filled the bathroom. Miguel was visibly more confident, standing a little taller.

After putting the custom outfit, Asahi couldn't old his laughter and let out for a "pffft" for a short moment.

Miguel then turns around and asks with a little bit of anger on his voice "Whats so funny?"

Asahi then tries to mask what he has done and covers it with a excuse "Nothing bro, you look great." He then gave thumbs up.

Miguel then turned around to face the mirror, he looked at himself, Miguel couldn't help but feel a surge of doubt. "You really think this outfit will make a difference?"

Asahi grinned and teased, "Oh, absolutely. You're not just going to be popular, Miguel, you're going to have a line of girls waiting to talk to you."

Miguel's eyes widened in surprise. "Girls? Seriously?"

Asahi chuckled. "Yep, you've got that charm, my friend. All you need is a little confidence to match."

Miguel's excitement grew, and he quickly adjusted the custom outfit, making sure everything was in place. "Alright, I'm ready to rock this."

Asahi couldn't help but laugh a bit as Miguel struck a confident pose. "Looking good, Miguel. Now just wait for me to change outfit and then let's head back to the cafeteria and make a grand entrance."

"Alright." said Miguel smiling.

While they were at the bathroom having their moment, Olivia and James were waiting at the cafeteria for their return, Olivia's butler has already made the arrangements for the table decoration and everything was done. They were just waiting for the start of the event.

---OLIVIA's POV---

Why are they are taking so long...

I then think about all the preparations we had done, we have done so much it's incredible. It was really fun.

I noticed that James was contemplating something before leaning over the table, his eyes still fixed on the bustling crowd. "You know, I've been around the culinary scene for a while now, but I've never seen a kid cook as brilliantly as Asahi. It's like he has a natural gift for it."

Now that I think about it... he is right. Asahi really showed amazing skills in cooking, If someone told me he did that I wouldn't believe it, I mean... he can be a BIG DOUCHEBAG sometimes but... he really is talented.

I kind of admire him for that, he works hard and he is really smart, like, smarter than Miguel. I heard from other girls in his class that he gets the highest grades."I know what you mean. He's quite remarkable. But, um, Sir, I don't really know much about his background."

James arched an eyebrow, turning his gaze from the crowd to Olivia. "Really? That's surprising. Usually, we hear a lot about the prodigious talents in the news. He must be quite the mystery."

I was about to respond, but my thoughts momentarily drifted to the scars that I saw the other day on Asahi's hand... he seems to have a rough past that doesn't want to talk about. "Well, Sir... I don't have all the details, but I've noticed that Asahi has faced some challenges in the past. I think that-"

As I was about to say something, I noticed 2 people coming in the room. I watched in awe as I recognized that it was Asahi and Miguel that made their entrance. Asahi, dressed as Bugs Bunny with floppy ears and a fluffy white tail, and Miguel, sporting an Elmer Fudd costume, were a delightful surprise.

I saw that James couldn't contain his laughter and erupted into a fit of giggles. "Oh my, look at those outfits! You two are absolutely priceless!"

I noticed that Miguel was blushing with his head low."Thanks, guys. Asahi here convinced me to give it a try."

What the... why is Miguel looking like a racist? hahahaha.

As I was controlling my laughter, I noticed that Asahi patted Miguel on the back. "See, I told you, buddy. Now, let's go out there and show everyone what we're made of."

Miguel then kept adjusting his hat. "Yeah..."

Poor Miguel... this demon tricked him in wearing those clothes...

This guy was having the time of his life, I can notice his face morphing in that ugly smile of his... HE REALLY IS A DOUCHE. "Well, we aim to please. Plus, it's all for a good cause, right?" he says.

Right...

Then after a that moment, we get to finally see the School Director get to the center, we get silent to listen to what he has to say.

---GENERAL POV---

The School Director stood at the center of the cafeteria, a microphone in hand, ready to address the eager participants and attendees of the culinary event. The vibrant atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, and he knew all eyes were on him. He cleared his throat and began his explanation of how the event would unfold.

"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed parents and students," his voice boomed through the microphone, capturing the attention of the room. "Welcome to this exciting competition, where talent and creativity will shine!" His words were met with enthusiastic applause and cheers from the crowd.

Asahi, Miguel, and Olivia listened intently, their costumes adding a whimsical touch to the atmosphere. Asahi, in his Bugs Bunny outfit, exchanged playful glances with Miguel, who still adjusting his attire. Olivia stood beside them, looking at Miguel with hint of pity in her eyes.

The School Director continued, "Today, we have gathered all the students to showcase their skills and bring you an unforgettable experience. But this event isn't just about the students; it's about all of you, the customers who will decide the winners."

He emphasized the interactive aspect of the competition, stirring excitement among the attendees. "Each team will be running their own stalls, offering their delectable creations. Your task is simple but crucial: indulge in these creations and vote for your favorites!"

Olivia couldn't help but glance at their booth, where rows of beautifully presented cookies awaited the hungry crowd.

The School Director's speech took an engaging turn as he explained the event's twist. "But here's the catch, folks! The team that sells the most and receives the most votes from you, our esteemed guests, will be crowned the champions of this event."

A ripple of excitement swept through the room. All the students looked excited and eager to start. Asahi looked relaxed in his outfit, while Miguel and Olivia started to get ready.

The School Director concluded his speech with a flourish, his words resonating with passion. "So, without further ado, let the battle commence! It's time to indulge in the wonders prepared by our talented participants and cast your votes to decide the victors. May the best team win!"

The applause that followed was thunderous, echoing the collective enthusiasm of the audience.

As the School Director was getting out of the center, he then announced one more time. "BEGIN."

I am starting to learn the way of 'cliffhanger'.

But don't worry, I will be posting a bonus chapter today.

Also, the racist thing is a JOKE. Don't take it so serious.
