Wang Ming had always wanted to say that line, he had heard it multiple times in the movies. The protagonist would then beat up the bad guys and the woman would jump into the man's embrace, but nothing like that happened.

But after he said the line, he realized the thugs looked at him weirdly even as the girl did. Even he himself wanted to laugh at the cringe line he had just said. Coughing to cover up his embarrassment, Wang Ming puffed up to look intimidating.

When Wang Ming puffed himself up and glared at the thugs, they all felt like Yama himself was staring into their souls. The men who were laughing and being big mouthed just seconds ago felt their confidence and arrogance shrink down to the size of a peanut. None of them even dared to look directly into Wang Ming's eyes. The leader felt his face redden. Even he had to admit that Wang Ming scared the crap out of him.
