Limbo

"Ma'am, you're going to be alright!!!" A faint voice exclaimed, Amelie could see bright lights flashing by as she laid down on a bed roller. The next thing she heard was a loud ringing as everything went dark...

When Amelie opened her eyes, she felt a sense of dread wash over her, it felt like there were a thousand hammers hitting her head. She looked around and found herself in a hospital bed, her last memories before passing out was sitting on a bus, everything was going normal when suddenly, she looked out the window at the sky, and a bright neon green light hit her, instantly blinding her and causing her to go unconscious.

Amelie grabbed her phone and saw hundreds of texts from her boss asking about where she was. "Oh God Damnit!!!" Amelie cried, immediately calling her boss.

"Amelie!! Where are you? You're TWO HOURS LATE!!!" The Boss shouted, "...Two Hours?!" Amelie gasped, has she really been out for that long? "Look, I was on the bus!! I was on my way when I suddenly fell unconscious!!" Amelie explained.

"You have an excuse for everything, first you had a headache, then you felt sick in your stomach, and now you just randomly collapsed while on the bus" he spat, "Well that is the last excuse I'll ever hear from you, YOU'RE FIRED!!!!" The boss yelled before hanging up.

"No wait, I'll come over now-" Amelie stared blankly at the wall, she just lost her job, she really just lost her job and it is all because of this stupid sickness she's having. Amelie assumed it's just a common cold or something, maybe a fever or flu. As Amelie looked out the window, she once again saw a bright light outside, only this time she didn't pass out, and when the light faded away she saw a small black object in the sky, calling her towards it...
