Emma slammed the chest plate shut and stood, gripping her wrench threateningly. She heard the elevator door open, and moments later, a large group of policemen burst into the room. They rushed to Baby, the nearest, and shut her down. "Hey!" Emma shouted, beginning to run over, but strong arms grabbed her from behind. It was Adam. "Let go of me!" She shouted at him as another one of her friends were deactivated.

"No. These robots are dangerous."

"What?! No they're not!" She said, struggling. "Stop, please!" She shouted at the policemen. "They won't hurt anyone! Please leave them alone!" They ignore her. "LET ME GO, YOU JERK!" she shouted at Adam, ramming her wrench into his knee. He grunted in pain but held on.

She could do nothing. Nothing, as Ballora, the last one, tried to run away, terrified. She was tackled to the floor and shut down. "No…" Emma sobbed, struggling weakly. "Please…" the policemen carried them away, and into the elevator. The doors shut. Her friends were gone.

Adam let her go, and she collapsed to the floor, sobbing. "Emma," he started.

"NO!" She screamed at him. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Adam sighed, then left. Emma curled up, pulling her knees to her chest and buried her head in her arms, sobbing. That stupid man had probably called the cops while he was in the bathroom.

"Emma?" A voice asked. She looked up, tears streaming from her eyes. It was Bon Bon. "Are you alright?"

"No," Emma said, crawling over to Bon Bon and scooping her up in her arms. "I'm not." She hugged Bon Bon closed, crying. "This is my fault," she sobbed. "I brought him down here."

"This isn't your fault," Bon Bon said, snuggling into Emma's chest. "You didn't know any of this would happen."

"H-how did you escape?" Emma asked, trying to calm down.

"When the men burst in here, I jumped off of Freddy and hid behind Ballora's curtain." She stopped. "Oh man. Freddy. He's gone."

"They're all gone," said Emma. "They're all gone, and we're alone."

"We have each other," Bon Bon said, looking up at her. "There's gotta be something we can do. What is that- that thing. When they decide what to do with people who have done something bad?"

"You mean court?" Emma realized what Bon Bon was trying to say. "You want to go on trial and try to convince the government that our friends should be set free?"

"Yeah!" Bon Bon exclaimed.

"It might not work," Emma said, wiping her eyes.

"But it's the best we got."

"You're right! Hop into my purse and hide under my dress. We're gonna go to the police station."

Fifteen minutes later, Emma burst into the police station, furious. "Ma'am, how can we help-" the man at the front desk asked.

"I demand the animatronics and I have a trial!" She said. "You apprehended them for no reason!"

"Ma'am, they're just robots, I don't know why you care so much."

"I care! Now give us a trial!"

"I- I don't have the power to do that."

"Then send me to someone who can! Now!" The officer pushed a button on a phone and spoke.

"Sir, there's a woman here who needs to see you." Emma couldn't hear the reply, but the officer waved her towards a door to the right. She entered quietly. Inside was a small office, no windows. The only light was the lightbulb above the desk in the center of the room. A man sitting behind a desk waved her to a chair, where she sat, fuming.

"So. What do you want?" Emma explained. She explained her job, how nice the animatronics were, what she did for them, what they do for her.

"I'm nothing without them, sir. I have nobody else." The man thought for a moment.

"I'll talk to my superiors. Write you phone number here-" he handed her a piece of paper, "so that we can contact you with a date. Have a good night." Emma stood up and quietly left the office, then the building. When she was outside, Bon Bon poked out of her bag.

"We did it! We're gonna save them!"

"We still have to get through the trial," Emma said, but smiled all the same. She had done it! She could help them. She wasn't a failure after all.
