Chapter Seven

Bonnie glanced at the clock. It was 5:59. Where were Toy Chica and Mangle? Winter leaned over. "Where are they?" She hissed.

"I don't know," he whispered back. "We'll have to perform without them, then look for them after." Winter nodded in agreement as the clock struck 6. And so the day began.

The performance seemed oddly empty without the maracas or the tambourines. Puppet posed as an employee again to explain that Toy Chica and Mangle were out of order and would be back soon. The customers were still disappointed, however. The melody sounded empty too, without them to sing their parts.

As soon as the clock struck 12 AM, everybody dropped their instruments and went off looking. "Mangle!" Bonnie called as he entered the basement. "Toy Chica?" No response. He searched through the entire basement. Every room, every hiding place, every vent. But they were nowhere to be found. The night soon came to an end, and nobody had found anything. And so the cycle began again. Performance, search, performance, search.

Bonnie began to wonder if they would ever find them.

...............….

Toy Chica blinked open her eyes, groaning. Her head hurt. She looked around. She was in a room, not very big, but not small either. There were boxes stacked against the walls, and there was no doorway she could see. She tried to stand up, but failed. She was sitting on the floor, tied to a post. She opened her beak to cry out, but found that it was tied shut. She struggled, and found that someone was tied to the other side of the post.

She twisted, trying to see who it was. Mangle was there, mouth tied shut as well. She looked at Toy Chica, fear in her eyes. They both looked up, startled as they heard a squeaking sound. An animatronic that seemed to have only his endoskeleton dropped down from the ceiling. He had a white face with a party hat on his head. "You're awake," he said, standing before them. "I'm Ennard. And you're going to stay here a while." He laughed.

They did stay a while. A week, in fact. All they could do was stay tied up, watching Ennard work on something. Toy Chica couldn't see what he was doing. One day though, Ennard did something awful. "I'm bored," he said. "So I'm gonna do something fun." He walked over to Mangle, staring down at her, an evil glint in his eyes. Then he smashed his foot down onto her leg, crushing it. Mangle groaned, it was all she could do through the rope around her mouth.

Something inside Toy Chica snapped. Her eyes began to glow a brilliant blue, and in her hands, which were behind her back, something appeared, The ropes fell away, cut. Toy Chica removed the ropes around her mouth, snarling. What she held in her hand was a beautiful sword. It was six inches thick, and as long as her arm. It was shaped like flames.

Ennard turned to face her, shock showing on his face for only a moment before pulling out two wicked looking knives. He charged her, and Toy Chica suddenly knew what to do with the sword. She blocked his attack, then tried an attack of her own. He blocked it as well. Their fight was a flurry of clanging metal and flashing swords.

They fought for a long time. Finally, Ennard grew tired of the battle, and in a surprise attack, he knocked Toy Chica backward. In a flash, he disappeared. Toy Chica used her blade to cut away Mangle's ropes, then dropped it. The sword disappeared, but Toy Chica knew she could summon it again if she needed it. "How?" Mangle asked as Toy Chica helped her to her feet, supporting her weight. Mangle's leg was… well, mangled.

"Not now," Toy Chica said, looking around "We need to find a way out of here."

"What about up there?" Mangle asked, pointing with her free hand. She winced as she accidentally put weight on her injured leg.

"That could work," Toy Chica said, "Rest here while I stack up some boxes." She gently sat Mangle against a wall and got to work.

.........….

Bonnie sighed, sitting down in a chair. It had been a week, and they hadn't found them. A few animatronics were still looking, including Foxy, but Bonnie had given up. She probably didn't want him anyways. He turned as he heard a clattering sound and gaped. There was Toy Chica and Mangle, walking down the hallway. Mangle's leg was ruined, and Toy Chica supported her. Toy Chica had a flame shaped sword resting on her shoulder, her free hand gripping the hilt. "Toy Chica!" he exclaimed, rushing over to her. "You're alright!"

"Please move," she said coldly. "I need to take Mangle to Puppet."

"Look, I'm sorry-"

"Save it," she snarled, pushing past him. He watched her go sadly. 'She's never going to forgive me, is she?' he thought to himself. He watched as Puppet had Mangle sit on the stage so he could fix her leg. Toy Chica sat down beside her. The others gathered around them. Bonnie joined them, hovering at the back of the crowd. Toy Chica was explaining what had happened while Puppet worked on Mangle. She tossed the sword in the air and caught it by the hilt multiple times while she was speaking.

Bonnie gazed at her while she was speaking. She was so strong… and brave… and beautiful… Toy Chica met his gaze. He jumped, looking away. He regretted what he had said. It wasn't her fault, Toy Bonnie had told him that much. But now she would barely even speak to him.

It was near 6 AM now. What was Toy Chica going to do with that sword? He stared at her in astonishment as the sword disappeared from her hands. She explained that too, a moment later. 'I love that girl…' he thought again as they returned to their places.
