Chapter 27

(Michael POV)

I look at Uriel who just came back, his broken finger to be exact. Uriel always had a short fuse, and he generally breaks his fingers when he reaches his limit.

"What happened?" I calmly ask.

"Sorry, I ran into Strongest Queen, apparently she has taken a liking to that boy. After arguing with her about how we're not taking advantage of him, I snapped." I can sense he is not telling everything.

Uriel was the most protective one when it comes to our sister, even going far enough to lock her in her house. I can imagine something humans call 'fluff' may have happened causing him to snap.

"Sit down Uriel, drink some Angel's Tears." I pull up two glasses.

I don't want to admit it but Merlin does make this stuff to be perfect. We are getting stronger just by drinking. It would have been better if he didn't add his own 'jokes' into it, like getting us high or drunk.

While the two seraphim were drinking something unexpected happened, after years of going missing Metatron has returned.

"Michael, I heard what happened to Gabby is it true? I don't believe it... I can't believe it." Metatron looks like how I remember him except he is dressed like a ninja.

There's a difference though, his eyes are different. His eyes are red and three tomoes are spinning wildly.

"Metatron, what happened to your eyes?!" Uriel asks the question he wanted to ask.

"Like I said, I found genuine Sharingan, I bought it from a white-haired teen. I was apprehensive naturally but I believed him once he let me test the eyes. He even said I won't have to deal with blindness because it will go straight to EMS." I stumbled upon hearing this.

For some reason, I can only imagine that teen being Merlin supporting a giant grin...

"Metatron what are you talking about!? And how dare you throw away the eyes father gave us!?"

"Shut it, Uriel! I asked a question, did Gabby got seduced or not?" Metatron roars, his eyes flashed for a second.

"Yes..." I answer with a tired sigh but I didn't have time to relax because Metatron's eyes started to bleed as he fell on his knees.

"Argh Mangekyo! So powerful yet isn't worth the pain!" Metatron's eyes are still red but this time his pupils are in the shape of a Cross.

According to Metatron his eyes can discern whether an Angel is loyal to Heaven or not and the ability to turn the traitor Angels into humans.

Hearing about these 'random' powers, I immediately asked my brother to discreetly scan every Angel while I pulled out my phone.

FloweryBastard: I don't understand?

LordOfPigeons: Metatron came back with a pair of Sharingan(What is that btw?) that can see Heaven's traitors.

FloweryBastard: Pfft! Worth it.

FloweryBastard: While I'd like to hear the rest, I am kinda planning a date, by the way, I connected Gabby's house with mine just FYI.

'He isn't a bad person at heart, he is just messed up in the head.' I keep telling myself, then again probably some of the experiments at Sigurd Institute may have been the cause.

I look at the nickname I can no longer change and sigh. He isn't that bad, in the end, Heaven's getting better. 'Who am I kidding? That kid is pure evil. Lucifer would have died from laughing if he was alive...'

While I was lamenting the fate of Heaven Gabriel came to see me. "Brother, how is Uriel? I couldn't find him."

"He is fine Gabriel. Please sit, I need to ask you some questions."

"Sure."

"What do you think about Merlin? How is he at home? Does he always act like this?" I need to know how dangerous he really is.

It's not like I would dare attack him at this point, who knows what he added to the system for his protection but maybe Gabriel can fix him up.

"He is more subdued at home. I mean he doesn't act over the top too much but that is probably due to living with his women but he doesn't seem to have bad intentions at heart just a unique way of execution." She starts explaining.

I sigh, let's hope Gabriel can restrain him even if just a little.

(Merlin POV)

Instead of a date, Angelica wanted me to meet her family. Which is a bit harder than pulling out a date since I am planning on upgrading her status.

So while she thinks she is introducing her employer while I am meeting my future brother in-law... It's not that I am nervous but still...

"Master, this is my younger brother Julian." She pushes forward a very similar looking guy. Yes, he looks like the Julian...

"Nice to meet you, young man." I go for a handshake while ignoring the fact I called someone of my age 'young man'.

"Ni... Nice to meet you, sir!" He stutters but manages to shake my hand without problems.

Despite not intending to do so I have created some serious fame. Sure it is contained to Three Factions and maybe Norse mythology due to their presence in the magic community but still, I am basically a celebrity at this point.

I honestly don't feel like it, then again my personal life is a mess and my sanity might be slipping up... Wait that does sound like a celebrity.

"There's no need to be nervous, Julian. Come on let's chat a little bit." I pat him on the shoulder and move inside the house.

The house is mostly empty, their parents died years ago leaving three siblings to themselves, Angelica says Julian didn't want to move to Japan so he lives alone while Angelica checking up on him time to time.

According to Angelica, her eldest brother which was found to be the founder of the family that kept stealing bodies was the one who killed their parents.

Since he is dead now, that leaves just Julian and Angelica. She is naturally protective of her only family. So I put on my serious suit and didn't cause a scene by pulling random stuff.

Julian was a great kid to speak to when he got over the fact her sister brought her boss to their home.

He doesn't deal with magic apparently, he wanted to learn but the situation with their elder brother made him afraid of magic. So Julian is going to high school like any other normal sixteen years old.

"He is a great kid despite my initial impression." I tell Angelica once Julian goes to the restroom.

My initial impression was ruined by his appearance reminding me of Julian Ainsworth.

"He is a big softie but that's okay." Angelica gently smiles looking at his photos on the walls.

..

Well, as I said Julian is a normal high schooler and it is mid-week, he eventually needs to go to bed.

Afterward, I took Angelica out to stargazing. This was the only activity that comes to my mind at the moment. I mean when did I do something with decent planning?

So I laid down a blanket on top of an uninhibited mountain with some barriers to make sure the environment won't be problematic.

I sat down on the blanket and pulled my shy maid to my lap, her head resting on my chest.

"Mas..." I place a finger on her lips. "We are on a date Angelica, please don't tell me Grayfia turned you into 'perfect maid'."

"Me..Merlin... Thank you for accepting my wish." She blushes. My maid so cute when she blushes.

"It is nothing, I am sure you are aware you're not just a maid at this point." I pull out a ring and hover it in front of her eyes.

I didn't forget about Tiamat or Vali. Tiamat laughed at me when I tried this on her and threw the ring to her treasury. Vali, on the other hand, is not ready for a ring. Gabriel will get hers during the wedding.

"This..." She goes completely still.

"I know I am just 16 and we have known each other more than just a single year but I would like you to officially join the ranks." I cringe at the end. I am not good at this, not at all but Angelica should understand what I am trying to tell.

"Merlin?" Hearing me hum in reply she continues "Can I keep the maid outfit?"

"Is there a reason? I am planning on getting a manager soon and it's not like I needed a maid." Okay, the last part was a lie.

Angelica looked up at me from her expression I can say she didn't believe the last part but she didn't comment on it.

"Well, I come to appreciate the outfit and I may have developed a thing for it." She eventually says.

Did she develop a maid fetish? "Subarashi! Fine keep the maid outfit."

"Thank you, master." She goes for a kiss full of passion. I think this decision to officially bring her into the harem was the right one.
