Chapter 102: The Dark Lawn

In the secluded garden.

A woman walked slowly with her bag in her hands, held in front of her.

Tang Feng, silent, walked beside her.

From time to time, he would turn his head to observe the woman by his side.

Always on that tranquil face, there was a touch of heart-wrenching sorrow.

It was clear that she had a heavy heart, or perhaps, her life hadn't been a happy one.

Ahead, a rockery appeared.

The surroundings were dim, lit only by a few ground lamps on either side of the rockery, casting a faint light.

The chirping of summer insects resonated.

Now and then, a bird's call would come from afar.

The woman, bag in hand, sat down on the grass next to the rockery, lush and green.

There, in the grass, she sat with her arms wrapped around her knees.

Tang Feng hesitated for a moment before sitting down beside her.

The two of them sat shoulder to shoulder in silence.

Far off, the light from the ground lamps shone, but could only illuminate an area less than a meter around.
