REACHING THE DESTINATION
Chapter:ten: reaching the destination
"Welcome, I am lost soul leader of Deep Coffin." Was the first words we are greeted with upon reaching an overgrown forest. Speaking to I Hades and the rest of Flock is a man with dark skin with a red mask covering his face. Like everyone here, he's wearing standard khaki pants and a shirt getup.
"It's an honour to meet you especially since your Cheddarian." I say to the man he then gives of a long laugh and says.
"As expected of you The God of Death to know such things I am a Cheddarian, but I'm curious how did you notice since everyone from Arc has dark skin?"
Despite his eyes being blocked by his mask, I am able to tell he's staring at me intently.
"Your red mask unlike clans like the Cottagian your clan is known to worship the red demon because you guys believe that war is part of human nature and shouldn't be abandoned."
He smiles hearing that then take if his mask revealing eyes even more red than the colour of blood.
" I Red Wolf, son of the former chief of the Cheddarians greets you Hades, let the red demon be praised and let the white spirit be dammed."
That's the welcome of the highest degree one can receive from a Chedderian so let's respond in kind.
"I Hades Styx son of No one greets you Red Wolf let the black demon be praised and the blue spirits be damned."
He looks at me shocked then says in a slightly nostalgic tone.
"The demon of death it's been way too long since I've heard that greeting not since the Cottagian were wiped out during Gucci- Arc war."
The only reason I even know it is because Warmonger was a member of the clan and even fought in the war, I'm sure if I say the name Blackstalker he would jump in fright.
"Introduction went let me show you guys something." He says putting back on the mask then lead everyone towards an abandoned village filled with overgrown trees, grass and even different species of birds.
"Our original goal was to take some of the pots and tools that are here and hand them over to some academy for money, but Gloomy Runes found a secret stairway leading somewhere that's observed to be most likely either the home of the leader or the storeroom."
"So where does hiring us to come in?" I ask Red Wolf who sighs then say to me while staring at a house filled with markings of different origins.
"Weeping child used her codex to scout ahead what we found was a Spirit beast surrounded by mana beast."
A Spirit beast an evolved version of a mana beast at this stage they have blend in with nature and are able to use a skill called Territorial Cage. To reach the Spirit beast stage they must have either killed a Spirit beast and absorb its core or they have absorbed the core of multiple sss rank mana beast.
"Why haven't the local authorities found this place the aura alone it gives off is enough to send most normal citizens mad, why haven't the local authorities come here yet?" I ask Red Wolf who simply points to the house and says.
"Someone used their codex to place markings around it that block off its aura from stepping outside, I will show you the power behind the Spirit beast." Red Wolf says rubbing his mask.
This mission just got a whole lot more complicated but in turn, my interest has doubled.
"Well with that over we can move on to the negotiations, on my pay that is." I say with a evil smile on my face.
