Queen Helene narrowed her eyes at Princess Gwen, trying to make sense of everything.
"You have known that Zaria was his queen all along then?"she asked.
She and everyone in the room were shocked by the news but the princess's statement suggested that she and Tario citizens knew this for a long time. Like it was general knowledge they somehow missed.
"A smart kingdom always has a succession plan. Zaria is Tario's past, present and future. The late king and queen knew that Vince might die, there was a provision for that," Princess Gwen responded carelessly. She thought long and hard about the strange treaty and spoke to their retired royal stuart and some of the most trusted friends of her late king and queen. They did not know all the details but the old prophet was mentioned a lot, prompting her probe further.
