Adam's change

A week had gone by without Chloe seeing any sight of Adam. She tracked his movements on the news, as the man was all that everyone talked about.

The week should have been peaceful but Chloe was restless. After the events at Chelsea's house. Adam had changed drastically.

The way he spoke to her at the office resonated in her head. Constantly reminding her of her position in Adam's life.

It was her wish to break the contract and be free from the marriage that suffocated her. However she was not in a position to do so. The money required for that was far too big for her to afford.

It left her no other choice but to stay. Untill the day the contract expires.

Chloe convinced herself that time will fly by and in no second she will be free. However, the week thar had past felt longer.

Even the thought of her family wasn't enough to cheer her up. Chloe sat by the window in her room staring at the garden outside.
