In The Study Room

Ariel almost ran as she tried to hide herself from those aunties who were so worried for her even though they didn't know her.

Her ears were tired from listening to how poor she was because she married a mentally unstable man.

As she looked around to check that they were really not around her, she didn't see ahead and hence collided against someone.

Ariel sighed as she looked at the spilled wine on her dress.

"I apologize."

Ariel raised her head when she heard the apology. It was her fault to be precise. He didn't need to apologize but one look at the man she couldn't help but frown a little.

She seemed to have seen him before.

The man was unaware of her thoughts and smiled gently at her. A waiter came and he placed the half empty glass on the tray.

After the waiter left, the man looked at Ariel who was still staring at him and smiled in amusation.

But as he looked at her, the smile on his lips faltered slowly.
