After a journey of seven long days, which consisted of making constant stops at cities and small villages to spend the night. The father and daughter finally arrived at the large black gates that housed the capital of one of the biggest countries in the continent.
"It's so huge! Bàba I can't see everything!" Da-Xia excitedly chanted, tugging on his sleeves, to get his attention. Mei Deng tipped his rice hat over his eyes and rode the carriage towards a smaller gate, where other incoming carriages went through.
When it finally reached their turn, Mei Deng was asked for his reason for visiting the capital. Since, it was the festive period, most visitors were either relatives or deliver service workers.
Mei Deng presented a yellow pass with a red seal, which was granted to transporters to allow them move freely between states. On seeing the pass, the men allowed Mei Deng to ride through the gates, into the bustling capital.
