Mei Deng didn't understand much of what was happening, but he understood that the oldie sitting across from them was a delegate sent from another family.
'But for uncle Wang to bow his head, this family must be the real deal.' he thought to himself, and then decided to sit back and observe what was happening.
Wang Tianyu stared at the scroll in his hand with a puzzled expression. He suspected something was off about the wide grin on the delegate's face. He signalled one of his servants waiting on him to have the seal broken. The youngster respectfully bowed to everyone then left to break the seal.
While they waited, Mei Deng stole a glance at the companion following the oldie, he was about his age, but had a quiet demeanor about him. He looked like the sort of person who wouldn't flinch if a fly buzzed in his ear.
"Tell me, how was your travel here? I hope you had no difficulty on the way?" The old general asked, trying to make conversation.
