After the general left, Mei Deng retired to his bedroom and gathered everything in preparation for the journey back to his other home.
Da-Xia pouted, "Bàba why are we going back so suddenly?"
Without breaking his concentration from the clothes he was folding, he replied, "Weren't you the one who insisted you wanted to go back? I think we've caused your brother too much worry. And besides, this money is for the shop, remember?" In the midst of all the excitement, Mei Deng nearly lost sight of the shop which was raided by bandits.
"Or don't you want to see everyone else?" He asked, knowing fully well that Da-Xia loved her older brother the most.
The little girl folded her arms across her chest, "Of course, I want to see them. But what about lemon Gege, isn't he your lover? Won't you miss him?"
"Yu Da-Xia!" Yu Xiaoguang scolded in a loud voice, "don't ever say that word again." He told her, startling the child.
