Chapter ８０

The man stared at Elisa like she's some lesser creature. "Stay good, you'll know when you need to know. Don't try to escape, don't upset us, and don't blame us if we take you to practice knives!"

He finished his words, then he swung the door loudly and left.

Elisa was relieved that the man had left the lights on. She struggled to get out of bed and moved as carefully as she could to the window. There was nothing but darkness outside the window, and there was still a pile of construction waste in the brightly lit area. Those supplies had been sitting for a long time, as seen by the covering plastic sheets. Seeing it wasn't going to help her in her current condition.

From a few short words with the unknown man, she could get two messages.

The first was that there were others in the room, and the second was that they had not yet found out how to deal with her. It showed that she was safe until they thought of countermeasures.
