CHAPTER 46

"How dare you!" Xavier thundered at her with no restraint as he let his anger out.

Shaken, Raven's eyes remained wide but no words could form on her lips. Immediately, she felt the intensity in the air thicken as a deadly aura emanated from the already dark presence enshrouding the chambers.

As though that was not enough, she watched as his pupils dilated into slits while his dragon threatened to take over and come out.

'Move. Move. Move.' She chanted in her mind. Even so, her body refused to heed the warning in her plea.

She was no fool to a dragon's rage, but the being standing before her emanated the very terror the ancient tales spoke of.

At that moment, Raven felt as though she had been transported through time to the age where terror was the order of the day.

Seeing that her body would not move, she decided to explain herself. Perhaps that would calm his rage, if anything could, that is.
