CHAPTER 195

~Drakenflare~

The rise of the morning sun that day brought about a thrill in the atmosphere.

The sky was clear, and there were no clouds to be seen anywhere on it; not even any birds flew through its expanse as if they had been scared away by something or someone.

For someone reason, the more Xander gazed out into the sky, trailing his gaze down to the city, the more he felt nostalgic.

He could see people walking around with their heads held high despite how early it still was—they seemed like nothing but ordinary humans who lived normal lives without knowing the dangers that brewed in the dark.

It made him feel lonely for some odd reason...but then again, maybe this feeling came from being alone himself all these years?

Heaving a deep sigh, Xander retracted his fingers from the drape and allowed them to close up shielding his chambers from the sun's rays.

"I need to leave here."
