A look into the past

After Raymond was out of her room , Nilsa let out a relieving breath and switched on one of the bedside lamb before she took off her cap and mask . She walked towards the door to the room and locked it , turning to the closet she opened it and took out a backpack ,she walked towards her bed with it and sat down resting her back against the headboard , she brought out an apple laptop from the backpack and opened it , she swiftly opened a folder and started typing away on the laptop .

Only she knew what she's doing better than anyone else , what her father told her took away all her sleepiness so she thought she could spend the night doing what will help her from tossing and turning in bed for 8hrs she never thought she would be one day reduced to a stepping stone for a family business ,she wonders what her brother and grandparents would do when they get wind of what Raymond and Kathrine did , a part of her wanted to inform them but she knew that will only worsen the case so she let things take it's course .

One step at a time , Nil..." she remembered a certain voice which always says that in the past". She typed with a calm expression , her slender fingers moved very swiftly across the keyboard which only left after images behind , she's fast and Swift but also steady and calm like the morning ocean.

Two Hours later.... she was feeling sleepy , she quickly saved the folder and exit before closing the laptop and placing it back where she picked it up from , she slid under her blanket and closed her eyes , sleep quickly taking her consciousness away . That night she had a dream....

Good morning...arise and shine cupcake , a sweet voice of a young woman around the age of twenty six to twenty seven years made it's way into the hearing of a little girl at the age of five , the little girl flattered her eyes opened with a smile gracing her beautiful pink lips which made the woman in the room chuckled lightly , the woman has a black ebony like hair with a skin as white as snow , her eyes were as green as emerald , she has thick eyebrows and long natural eyelashes with her lips painted in a little pink colour, she was wearing a blue skinny jeans and a white T-shirt with white sneakers, her ebony like hair was put into a nice and neat high ponytail which reach her waist and curled at the end beautifully , she was a beauty to behold , the beautiful woman walked towards the little girl and gave her a kiss on her forehead affectionately .

"Good morning to you too sweet moma, "the little bundle of joy said before yawning aloud which made the woman shook her head and smiled at her in amusement.

How's my little cupcake doing this beautiful morning.....? , she asked looking at the little girl sitting on the bed lovingly .

I'm feeling better moma ,who wouldn't feel better in the morning having a sweet moma at their side ...? , she replied cheekily making the young woman's heart swelled up with warmth.

So cheeky in the morning , she said playfully before picking her up from the bed , time for shower she said whiles walking towards the bathroom which her bed was facing.

Ten minutes later they came out with a towel wrapped around the little girl, they entered the room opposite the bathroom which was a walk-in closet, after about another ten minutes they came out and walked out of the room and descended the stairs , turning to their right towards the dining and kitchen, both entered the dining room, the woman sat the little girl down on chair before sitting herself across from her so that she was facing her directly , the scene quickly changed and the two of them were in a car which stopped in front of a kindergarten, the girl gave the older woman a kiss before alighting from the car , the woman watched her being ushered by one of the teachers before driving away , the scene quickly switch again and this time they were in the kitchen .

Hey cupcake, don't you dare steal my brownies otherwise you won't get some after am done preparing the whole thing" , the young woman said trying to act angry which she was totally failing at , this made the little girl giggled softly .

I know you're just joking because you can't allow this cutie go without brownies ,the little bundle of joy replied in her childish voice cheekily making the woman chuckle softly.

How can this little fellow know her so we'll , whiles the girl continue to play around.... the woman watched on with sadness which the girl didn't noticed because she was quick in hiding her emotions , the scene changed again but this time around the girl was around six years , she was pacing back and forth with her little feet in front of the operating theater (OR) whiles looking restless , her white dress was covered in blood , her hair was messing and there were a few bruises on her forehead, cheeks and lips , she looked as if the whole world was on her little shoulders.

Nurses who pass by looked at her with surprised expressions , how can this little fellow look so calm when the only person she has life's in danger....? , the only thing that shows that she's worried is just her pacing.

One of the nurses passing by walked up to her and squatted so she was facing her , little girl.... come and let me dress your wound so that it doesn't get affected , the girl shook her head with determination in her eyes , the nurse was stunned by look in her eyes , at this point the girl couldn't speak because if she does she will end up breaking down and that's what she didn't want to happen , the nurse gave her a nod and said with a comforting smile ,your mom will be fine" with that she left the girl there who continued her restless pacing .

Six hours later.... the doors to the OR opened and the doctor walked out with a tired sigh , the patient was badly injured even though no vital organ was touched.... she was bleeding too much and her health is also very poor because her white blood cells were affected by the leukemia she has and her liver has also enlarge which means the leukemia has been in her body for more than three years and has spread faster than it should because she wasn't taking any treatment , a little voice snapped him out of his thoughts .

Is she alright now doctor..? , the little girl asked , the doctor gave her a sympathetic look before replying to her question , she's fine for now , I can only leave the rest to God but whatever happens tonight....you should always remember that you're stronger than you ever thought , this is a faze most people goes through in life and unfortunately you're one of them but also the bravest of all I've ever met , you will be alright I guarantee you that because you're a fighter , Continue to fight forward.

As time goes on you'll meet people who cares about you and love you , their love will give you enough strength to fight forward , the doctor said to the little one "to which she gave a nod off gratitude to.

Just when the doctor was done with his words of encouragement.. the OR doors opened again with nurses pushing out the young woman they operated on , seeing her mother being pushed to another room she quickly followed her , the nurses took her to the VIP section of the hospital which the doctor asked them to do. The VIP room was large , with a personal bathroom , tv , soft couches and the walls were also painted in warm colours with white keteens hanging by the windows .

The nurses

moved the patient on to the soft bed in the room gently , they quickly connected the IV drips to her body , seeing her mother in such condition made her heart tightened with an unbearable pain but she still kept her calm expression on which surprised the people around her but they also admire her for being so strong at such a young age , after the nurses left... she crawled into the bed besides her mom quietly holding her hand gently with ahe complicated expression , she kept that position for about two to three hours it was when a nurse brought her some clothes and ushered her to take a warm bath she climbed out of the bed ,the girl was quite the entire time she was taking her bath ,after cleaning her up the nurse assisted her in wearing the clothes , she wore a black skinny jeans that are above her ankle slightly with a sea blue T-shirt , she also put on a pair of black socks and brown combat boots not bothering to even check out her outfit she exited the room to see her mother awake but she has this painful expression that didn't go unnoticed by her .

Mom ..."the girl called out softly which got the young woman's attention immidiately. She quickened her pace to get to her mother's side .

How're you feeling moma....?, she asked .

I'm good, the woman replied hoarsely whiles giving her a tight smile , the girl went to pour her water clumsily before giving it to her , the woman couldn't hide the proud look on her face when she handed the water to her , she took a few sips before giving the glass back to the little fellow who took it and carefully place it where she took it from , just then the nurse came out surprised to see the woman awake when she was about to talk the scene changed to a different one , with the same girl and young woman but this scene was different because the woman laid lifelessly on the hospital bed whiles the girl was hugging her and crying silently , she cried but didn't make any sounds which was heartbreaking for the onlookers in the room , "poor girl..." they all thought.
