Chapter-7: Space Gate

After a 2 days

A huge spaceship that looked like a water droplet could be seen approaching a planet-like structure. This planet didn't have any sun or moon, when the spaceship approached the planet a dull hum sound could be heard.

The plant started vibrating and started moving, if one could see from a close vicinity they could observe that the planet was made with some metal bars.

These metal bars started moving and lighting up, after a few hours the planet has slowly transformed into something that looked like a large black arch door. The door-like structure was completely black and the metal-like outer frame was pulsating strange blue light and symbols, the base of the entire structure was a red dwarf star.

Some ware in the ship, where a small group of people were assembled and seemed to be waiting for something.

"What the fuck is that?" exclaimed a voice.

A few people who heard the voice looked at the source and found a human boy looking at the mammoth Arch door from a window nearby.

A voice said "That's the Imperial Courts space gate, it leads us to a stable space node, from which we can teleport to the Imperial court"

"We can't directly use this to reach the imperial court?" asked the boy.

"No, a space node is surrounded by unstable space and multidimensional cracks that lead to different locations. This gate allows an object to move at high speed, through a stable corridor leading to a Space Node. The space node is like an express route or a warp hole that directly leads to the imperial court and it's naturally formed, while this gate is manmade" said another voice.

After hearing this explanation the boy, nodded his head as if understanding something and continued looking at the gate with sparkling eyes.

[All personal who are departing are requested to follow the crew instructions]

After this robotic voice was heard a huge beam of the light screen was projected in front of the group.

After the light faded a person covered in black armor type clothing from head to toe and holding a metal staff walked up to the group and said

"Everyone, kindly show your registration number and pay for the teleportation cost," said the person in black armor, with a monotonic tone.

After that, a person in a black hood walked up to the black armor person and stretched out his palm. The armored person saw the palm and nodded his head and gestured for him to move toward a light platform.

The black-hooded person walked up to the platform and took out a black diamond-shaped object and placed it near his feet, as soon as the object touched the platform lit up and after a few minutes it faded away and the black-hooded person disappeared along with the light.

"Next," said the armored person.

All the people started scrambling and quickly formed a line and at the very back of the line, a small group of people was still trying to enter the line.

Among the crowd, Bhram was looking at the 'Space gate' and thought

'Ah! The world is full of wonders, at home we used to think the stars were the embodiment of God. We were even foolish enough to think that only humans were present in the universe, a star that we thought of as God is being used as a fuel cell.'

In his home planet, Bhram could be considered a well-taught scholar. But when he compared his knowledge from the 2 decades on his planet to the few days in space, he felt that he was a kid again.

On his home planet, he had died while going on an adventure to find a new species of flowers on a huge waterfall, when he thought he had died for an insignificant flower he had regretted his adventure plans. But when he saw how an entire planet was transformed into a physical gate to transport things across space, he felt that his death for a flower was not a bad thing.

"Bhram, we will leave after James brings the space crystal," said a middle-aged man standing near Bhram.

Bhram looked at the middle-aged man, who had blond hair, pale skin, and a tall strong build.

Jules had asked Phillip to escort Bhram to the nearest planet, as Phillip was also the only human cultivator available on board and thought that he could help him settle him on a suitable planet (human friendly).

"Mr. Phillip, I had a question in my head for a long time. May I ask?"

"Yes, I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities," said Phillip.

"When I first saw you, you were wearing some kind of suit. What is that suit used for and how come I see people wearing it near the Labs and the outer section of the ship only?" asked Bhram while looking at Phillip to give a very crazy answer.

Bhram expectations had gone high after he regained his life in the space; he felt that everything had a purpose and crazy functions.

"We were in a battle with a race/species that is like a parasite before we found you. We were searching for clues to report back to the HQ, if that race is involved in planet-scale genocide we can go for an all-out war and claim their domain. The suits which we wore are called Grems, it's was developed to isolate and detect if any parasite is attacking us."

"The worst part about that race is once they occupy a body they can reproduce like crazy until all the hosts' life force runs dry. Only the upper/High symbioses can possess a living body and are crazy powerful" said Phillip with a look of dread in his eyes.

"The outer layer of the ship was damaged during the battle and most of the patients in the lab have some traces of 'SYMB energy' on them, to prevent further spread of that shit like energy we had to…"

"What's SYMB energy?" Interrupted Bhram

"Well…. it's a type of energy that race has derived after millions or even billions of years of cultivation. We humans also have similar energy but it's not universal like their race" said Phillip.

"Well you humans are idiots and can't come up with a single name," said a person who looked like a cross between a human and a parrot.

"James, I told you it's more complex than that… "Said Phillip with a look of annoyance on his face, but he quickly covered it.

'Humph. If we humans were able to pass on our strength to the next generation, we would have derived its true name long ago' thought Phillip.

"Ah! Whatever I'm not interested in your shit. Here, I got the stone to send that kid and come back as soon as possible, I can't deal with your shit for too long" said James as he tossed a black stone to Phillip.

Phillip caught the stone in his hand and started inspecting it.

"What do you think I would have tempered with it?" said James with a hint of anger in his voice.

"No... It's been a long time I have seen the space stone" said Phillip.

"Okay, we will head out now and I will be back in a few days tops," said Phillip as he gestures Bhram to follow him.

Bhram quickly followed behind Phillip after giving a polite greeting to James.

After a few minutes, it was Bhram's turn to teleport.

Phillip got up to the guard and spoke some details, after listening to that the person nodded his head and looked at Bhram.
