12 Winged Death

Mount Kailash, Tibetan Mountain Range, Earth DXD

Craters, molten rock, and random debris were all that was left of Shiva's magnificent abode. A middle school boy, in elegant robes, with black hair and sharp eyes that held bottomless divinity, clutched a dainty severed hand, that was adorned with a beautiful intricate diamond ring on the ring finger.

Tears and a murderous expression filled the boy's face. His body was in a state of shock.

In the air above, hovered Genesis, his oppressive aura on full display. Golden cross irises glinting with morbid curiosity, and a sadistic smile of bloodlust across his face.

A dozen Flügel flew high in a circle in the air above them, watching and waiting for a chance to prove themselves in this part of the conquest.

In a patronizing tone, Genesis spoke amidst the silence, and crackling of heat; "Oh Shiva, look what you've done." "You refused to bend the knee and now look at what happened to your loved ones." "You truly are a god of destruction."

Breaking out of his stunned state, Shiva bellowed wildly; "I'll ***** erase you!"

Summoning his mighty celestial bow, he aimed and released an earth shattering arrow of pure golden destruction.

Evading the devastating arrow with glee, Genesis cackled; " Oh no, he has a bow." Summoning a pitch black scythe of malevolent purple energy he swung it in a tauntingly telegraphed manner at the Hindu God. The malevolent energies shot forth in response.

Jumping away in time from the impact zone. Shiva loosed another golden arrow, leaving the bowstring to spiraling in the air. It divided into multiple beams of destructive light, that homed in on the progenitor.

Casually flying in between each beam a hair's breadth, Genesis yawned;

"Is that all you got Shiva? If so, I'm disappointed."

Flapping his wings once, Genesis passed right by Shiva." In the aftermath of Genesis passing by, Shiva's body still stood upright, bow in hand; his head though was missing, as a cleanly severed neck was all that could be seen.

Holding Shiva's severed head, Genesis spoke aloud; "To be or not to be that is the question, right Shiva? Will you reincarnate just as I did? Or will your new fate be worse than living here without any of your loved ones. I'll keep your skull safe on our wall of skulls, until you come to claim it."

He addressed the Flügel in the air; "That should be the last of this Pantheon. Let's head out."

Instantly all Flügel present disappeared in a blink. The only evidence of them ever being there in the desolate mountain range was an occasional corpse and the burning destroyed mountain landscape.
