FiveHead Monster: Primordial Beast Of Chaos

Quite some time ago, in a world not so different from Earth, Hailing from the Chaos at the dawn of creation, a lone hatchling of legendary origins takes its first breath- or rather, multiple breaths at the same time. As it turns out, this hatchling is gifted with several heads. Never alone, this curious creature seeks to scour the deepest depths and highest peaks. ------ The world is an Ancient time period Earth, but includes many fantasy-like additions inspired by the mythologies of our Earth. As you can probably guess, the MC is a 5 headed Hydra, not exactly the Lernaean Hydra but in the same mythology nonetheless. Story starts during the reign of Titan King Kronos. As a side note, it won't only be Greek mythology but also others as the novel goes on. Take note: - No Romance! Hydra does not love. - Mc will be relatively OP, nothing over the top or ridiculous but certainly contains fast growth befitting of a higher being. - 1k or so words per chap. - MC is Chaotic neutral (obviously) - And lastly, no turning into a human. Those are lesser beings, they have only one head. - No little band of monster friends that the MC keeps around so they can stay weak, only grind for us. Titanomachy VI

7,000 kilometers...

5,000 kilometers...

3,000 kilometers...

Falling... and falling. Descending ever so far, both figures lit up in orange flames. Skin burned, scales incinerated. Two mountain sized meteors, filled with divine power.

1,000 kilometers... 500... Until finally,

" B O O O O O O O O M M ! ! ! " Complete destruction. Their impact had kicked up a mushroom cloud, and swept the world with malevolent force. The wall had contained most of the explosion. If not for it, I fear the entire western world would have been erased from existence... But even then, a huge part of the map had been erased and the wall had been blown to nothing but ruins.

" Cough!.. Cough!... Everyone?! Are you alright?!! " A disheveled Zeus muttered weakly, searching around for his siblings. Luckily, he had found them. Unluckily, none of them were in any condition to fight anymore, most of them just barely keeping consciousness. One by one, Titan and Olympian rose from the ashes.

None of them had 'died' , but most of them had been taken out of commission by the blast alone and some getting close to death themselves.

" Aaahhh... cough! cough! Grk! " From the center of the miles wide crater, one figure emerged. Atlas looked terrible, most of his brazen skin had been burnt off and his features malformed by... everything, to put it lightly. His armor was already in rags and pieces.

The General looked down, at where his supposed enemy was... but there was nothing there. Just a pile of dust and small puddles of poisonous blood. He had... won. Letting this sink in, he took a moment for himself. He had done it, destroying the very being that plagued his nightmares and pushed him so far.

" ha... haha " Looking up, Atlas could only manage a weak laugh. The Olympians looked on in horror at Atlas victory...

And then unexpectedly, or rather expectedly for some, from within the mountain of ash, lunged one, single head. It looked new, like it had just been born into being. It's scales were shiny, even with the coating of ash and blood.

" Ah!-... " Atlas wanted to react, but he was barely able to raise his arms. Weakly blocking the giant maw of teeth, he raised his stance once more. He knew it wouldn't have been so easy, he was just being delusional.

From within the ashy mountain of corpse, the Hydra appeared once more. It looked atrocious, it only had one head left, and most of it's body was just charred remains. Limp claws and some were left stumps of cauterized flesh.

It's one pair of eyes still had that fierce light in it. Despite the state of it's being, the light in it's eyes shone and shone, unyielding to nothing. Crawling along the ground inhumanly, it began showering Atlas in a flurry of teeth.

There was no strategy in it's actions, only seeking to show the world it's flame of ambition, and show it off till it's dying breath. Atlas could only continue to block each attempt wearily.

But, as if it's flame had started translating into their being, they started regenerating. Renewed by each passing second, their perpetual energy system working overdrive, bringing them back from the brink of nothing. Limb by limb, head by head, Atlas was overpowered once more.

Atlas could only watch as his enemy's form began returning to it's previous state, while he stepped closer and closer into his grave. His morale broke, and the light in his eyes dimmed and dimmed. Until finally, he stumbled, his once towering frame now embedded decrepit into the soil.

The now renewed Hydra looked on with five heads, stronger than ever before! They had beat death, and had just achieved victory against the Titans once more. They crawled forward, looking to finish off their prey- no, worthy enemy.

Even with all their conflict, toxic words and mockery, they had always respected the General. He was just doing his duty, that they understood.

" Atlas... Goodbye. " They said with a tone of finality, resolved to kill.

" As... huff... promised. " Atlas resigned, for the very last time. He could finally die with honor, as was befitting of a General.

As they stepped forward however, everything froze. Atlas stopped, the disheveled Olympians and Titans stopped, everything. Then, they realized, they could not move. But it was for but a moment, as it all returned to normal once more, except for one thing.

" Crash! crrash! Boom! Crash! " Five heads collided onto the ground. It all went dark, and their body went limp for the second time. All that could be seen was the beast crawling leisurely, and within a moment, five heads were on the ground. It was as if... time had stopped.

" Think it's that easy? Well think. Again. " A deep and booming voice cut the silent atmosphere. A hand extended, and something shot into it's grip. A menacing, void black scythe. It was huge, as tall as the Titan King himself. It had a serrated edge, and killing intent radiated from it in droves.

Kronos had finally entered the battlefield. The Oympians paled, knowing that they would most likely lose- no, they would die soon with their condition. Zeus and his siblings grit their teeth in anger. With clenched fists, they forced their killing intent to subside, hoping that the mad King wouldn't notice them.

Kronos himself was in top condition, wearing menacing armor and a crown that befit his stature. The King stepped between the beast and the fallen Atlas.

" Atlas... to think you would fail me, your King like this. I am disappointed. " Kronos scorned his own right hand man cruelly.

Atlas could only look on with unfeeling eyes, his honorable end taken from him.

"... How. Rude. For. A. Person. Of. Your. Station. Hmmm?... King? " The now regenerated Hydra drawled out, silently enraged by the untimely interruption.

" I am the King of the Cosmos! It is my right! " Kronos retorted conceitedly.

" Hisss... What. King. Goes. Around. Interrupting. Other's. Hunts. Like. An. Attention. Seeking. Child?.. " They said angrily, blood boiling furiously.

" INSOLENT BEAST! I WILL TEACH YOU YOUR PLACE! " Kronos roared, his face contorted into a terrifying expression.

" If. You. Have. The. Ability. That. Is. " The serpent taunted cunningly.
