VAUGHN'S POINT OF VIEW:

After I left the garden, my feet just brought me anywhere. I do not know where I am right now, haaa...

"Your Imperial Majesty, Her Majesty has been looking for you all over the palace," I turned to see who spoke to me and saw that it was Krishiella's maid. She was bowing her head and she raised her head after she spoke. I'm not quite sure, but I think her name was Ellen?

"Ah, yes. May I know where she is?" I said as I tried to compose myself. Now, I can't help but feel bad for walking out on her. It was because of that man. It's his fault. I never would have walked out if it wasn't for him. "The last time I saw her, she was at the west wing of the palace, Your Imperial Majesty," she replied. "Thank you," I said and immediately left.

Now... where exactly am I? I can't find my way to the west wing. God, I hate myself.

As I was walking, a girl walked past me. Does she not know that I am the Crown Prince of the Rosiello Empire? Well, it doesn't matter. I should just ask her if she knows the way to the west wing.

"Pardon me, my lady," I said as I took a step closer towards her. "Yes?" She said as she turned to face me.

She had beautiful golden hair, bewitching emerald eyes with thick and long eyelashes, narrow nose, heart-shaped lips, and pale skin that matches perfectly with all of her features combined.

She was... beyond beautiful. She looks ethereal. Words aren't enough to describe her beauty.

"Sir? Did you want to tell me something?" She asked as she tilted her head a bit. "Ah, yes," I said and cleared my throat. "Could you please tell me how to get to the west wing of the palace?" I said as I stood straight.

Goodness gracious, what am I doing? Am I trying to impress this lady in front of me by showing her my figure and posture? You've got to be kidding me.

"Oh, if you want to get there, I could bring you there myself. It would be hard for you if I will only give you directions, given how big this palace is," she said and smiled. Good Lord, this is... not happening!

My heart is beating so fast right now, and the way I feel right now is different from what I feel for Krishiella. Everything about this woman in front of me is... beautiful.

"Then, please do," I replied briefly and smiled.

We started walking to the west wing of the palace. We were both silent, and the only sound I could hear is the chirping of the birds from outside. This silence feels way too awkward. Should I try speaking with her again? If I do, what should I even say to her?

"You know this palace quite well, huh?" I said as we walked. "Yes, I do. After all, the Princess is one of my closest friends," she replied as she was still facing straight. My face brightened but at the same time, I felt nervous. "Really?" I said and laughed nervously.

What if Krishiella starts to hate me because of this? There is no doubt that I am attracted to Krishiella... but I am not quite sure if I still feel the same towards her. With this woman beside me, I am willing to leave any other woman I had contact with if it means I'd be able to be with her. There is no other woman who can compare to her beauty. I know that judging someone solely because of their appearance is very shallow, but... I can't help but feel that there is some kind of connection between the two of us—something far greater than attraction.

"Yes. We have been friends since childhood. I am but a mere Baron's daughter, but the Princess was very kind and still wanted to be friends with someone like me. I do not stand on the same ground as her, so I, myself, still can't believe that I made such a wonderful friend," she said adoringly as she spoke of her relationship with Krishiella.

I was about to say something once again, but before I could even open my mouth, she spoke again. "Here we are! This is the west wing of the palace. I better go my way now, Sir," she said and smiled. "Oh... Alright. Thank you, my lady," I said and bowed my head a bit. As I slowly raised my head, her back was the only view in my sight.

She walks very gracefully. Haa.... God, I'm so smitten with her.

"Vaughn?" I turned to see who it was, and it was the person I was looking for—Krishiella. "There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere," she said as she walked towards me with a dejected expression. "Ah, yes. I heard from Ellen," I said and smiled at her. She stood in front of me and looked up as she stared into my eyes. "I am so sorry if you felt upset because of what happened earlier. I swear to you, Noah and I really are just friends," she explained with a pleading voice as if she's desperately asking me to believe her. "Yes, I believe you. I let my feelings take over me earlier and it was rude of me to walk out on you, so please forgive me, my lady," I said as I held her hand.

She smiled at me ever so sweetly and touched my cheek. She tiptoed and raised her other arm to reach my other cheek.

Oh no. I think I know where this is going. I... do not want to kiss her.

I took a step backward and said, "Ah, Krishiella. I want to take a rest a bit. I feel quite weary after walking a very long distance." She stood straight and smiled awkwardly. "Oh, alright. Then, please rest until you feel better," she said as she smiled.

She must have felt embarrassed because of what I did. But... I really did not want her to feel like that. It wasn't my intention at all.

"I'll take my leave then," I said and bowed my head a bit.

Well... this is certainly not what I expected.
