The END

Lan YuQin stood silently on top of the world, staring down at the network of horrors, eating away the once beautiful waters. Sitting in front of him was the back of a tall armchair, a pair of thin slender legs peeked through the sides. The large, round and fluffy black cat sat at Lan YuQin's foot, silently licking its paws and grooming its fur.

Lan YuQin was stunned, he looked forward and wanted to approach, hug and embrace the person to his chest. But his feet were glued on the spot, no longer able to step forward.

The man sitting in front of him leisurely chucked a handful of small, black beads into the water underneath him, making layers of beautiful round ripples as it sank and dissolved into the darkness.

Lan YuQin silently watched, speechless by the behaviour of this mysterious person.

"YunYun," Lan YuQin called, his voice was hoarse, the other stopped throwing those little pearls and placed his arms on his elegantly crossed legs; however he did not reply.

Come look at me, look at the hole in my heart I've spared for you. I- I've missed you... He wanted to say, however what came out was different.

"You- Say something! Stop dealing with your stupid pond and- and look at me." His voice was uneven, nothing seemed real.

The ball of anger and confusion slowly dissipated, all that was left was an empty abyss full of sadness and despair. There was only the scent of sourness in the air.

"One day," A tranquil and beautifully still voice spoke, "I was caring for my pond, I found a little boy, and I pitied him."

"He was abused everyday by his parents and lived a life beyond imagination. I set my eyes on him and helped him, cursed his father and saved his life. I realised then, this was not pity but instead love."

"I wanted to give him something that'll make him smile, something to repay all the happiness he missed growing up."

"So I obtained the Tears of Blue Cherry and gave it to him as a gift. It would bring great fortune to it's owner."

"I then cursed his mother and made love with him. I told him my past, I gave him my everything."

"Then he asked me to stop dealing with my stupid pond... I would never of be able to experience such happiness if I had."

Lan YuQin grabbed tightly onto the red fabric wrapped around his arms, there was no strength in his legs and he fell weakly onto the ground.
