In front of the crystal clear mirror stood a refined gentleman. He wore a clean, ironed white shirt, a black blazer with it's matching vest. This man had very long legs that were covered in a pair of black trousers.

The man was busy putting on a pair of white cotton gloves on those long and slender fingers, his movement was gentle and swift. Afterwards, he used his gloved fingers and ran it through his dark fluffy hair.

However no matter who the mirror reflected, they always gave off an eerie demeanour; their skin was so pale it was turning into a translucent jade, their physique so tall and slender it was missing pieces of muscle.

Beside the man, there was a large, fluffy black cat, it's emerald green eyes staring right at the figure in the mirror. The man saw the cat, a smile appeared on his soft, delicate face.

"Are you ready?" He whispered into the cat's sharp, raised ears. It meowed and crawled onto the man's hands. "Haha." He gave a light chuckled and picked up the cat.

The cat jumped onto the man's shoulders, waving its large fluffy tail. The man took a step forward, directly into the crystal mirror and disappeared.

Let's visit Father.

The cat snarled.

Lan YuQin sat quietly at the back of a bumpy vehicle, letting his mind run wild whilst it still could. At a far place to the front, he could hear the slight murmuring of two angry people, their voices sounding familiar.

"Mother? Father?" He lifted up his heavy head which was laid on a neat, folded blanket. There was a certain atmosphere in the room that made sweat gather at the back of Lan YuQin's neck.

When the two parents heard their son's words, they turned their faces around to look Lan YuQin in the eyes.

"Honey? You're awake?" Lan Yi asked, her voice was soft and soothing like a soft silk fabric brushing across the surface of a pool of sugar.

"Sweetie, you alright?" His father asked, the voice was still the same, harsh and rasp but there was a tint of awareness and worry.

Lan YuQin did not reply, he simply stared at the two people in front and then changed his gaze to the car windows. There was nothing outside- it was a world of white fog.

"Honey pie, don't worry, we're almost at the hospital. You fainted remember? We are getting it checked out." LanYi reassured.

"Mn." Lan YuQin lightly answered. As he said this, the car began driving onto a large bridge: it was endlessly long and high above the sparkling blue water. Lan YuQin peered outside the car windows where he was met with a soft and gentle breeze.

He closed his eyes to enjoy the moment before a sudden weightlessness hit him. Lan YuQin turned his head around to find his parents screaming as the car tilted forward, crashing into the water- which felt as hard as cement.

"AH!" Lan YuQin felt the cold water surrounding his face, a freezing sensation all over his body.

"Haha loser! That's what you get." A voice echoed behind him.

Lan YuQin shook his head, every inch of his hair was drenched wet. Both his bony arms were gripped tightly onto the side of a toilet seat with a large, meaty hand at his collar, "You enjoyed that? Hey?"

An instinct ran through Lan YuQin's body, before he could realise what had happened- it had already happened.

All of the strength in his arm was gone, his classmate sat on the floor behind him, a streak of blood flowing down from his temples; where it made contact with the bathroom door.

All Lan YuQin could hear was his own uneven breaths, his heavy heartbeat. His vision darted across the room and finally landed on his own hands- they were a pair of red, swelling hands.

The world around him began to turn distorted, his surroundings turned into a beautiful manor, the walls decorated with a gold glimmer, the floor was a pure white marble.

In front of Lan YuQin was an intricate full-body mirror. He was wearing a neatly ironed, black and white suit.

Lan YuQin felt a sharp needle penetrating pain at his eardrums, he leaned into his own reflection, observing his ears: they were bleeding. The blood was a dark scarlet, dripping onto the snow white floor.

A dark shadow appeared beside his reflection, gently wiping away the blood with his own hands.

"It will heal soon. Doesn't it look beautiful?" His soothing voice asked.

"Yes... It does." Lan YuQin replied, his eyes not leaving the two pea sized sapphire crystals embedded into his flesh.

"It's my gift, no need for thanks." A still, soothing, water-like voice hovered over his ears. His breath was cold against Lan YuQin's earlobe, however his ears were still a tint pink. "Hm... Let's just say that it brings good luck." The figure behind him retreated and lifted up one of his almost transparent arms towards Lan YuQin's face.

The long and gentle fingers slowly caressed Lan YuQin's cheeks.

"Your all grown up." He whispered- and with the slight raise of his leather shoes, the man's chest was up against his own, his soft and thin lips was up against his own.

Lan YuQin dared not breathe, his limbs were frozen, goosebumps grew on his arms and his slim fingers started to tremble.

He cupped Lan YuQin's hands in his own- there was no warmth in them but it was all Lan YuQin needed.

"Haha. I hope you will wear it forever. As a token of my... L-O-V-E." He murmured beside him. Something jumped in Lan YuQin's heart, a feeling of warmth, affection and obsession.

"En."

"Ok." The shadow shifted behind Lan YuQin, softly resting his hands on his shoulders, silently observing his emotions,

"You aren't nervous are you? After all she was the person who raised you."

Lan YuQin no longer payed attention to the mirror and walked towards the two large doors. "No. Not anymore."

I actually wrote this in January of 2023, I just thought to put it on a website for archiving purposes.
