Chapter 10:- We Will Meet Again

I was kissing Ankita after moving her hair behind her ear, suddenly my alarm rang and I woke up shouting why can't you be my girlfriend Ankita I looked around and realise okay it was just a dream I turn my alarm off. Today I'll ask her about it I only have weeks left at the office it's now or never. I take a bath and get ready for the office I dress up in formals. So my mom asks me why are you wearing formals I explain to her it's Thursday and on Thursdays, we must were formals it's the office dress code for Thursdays. My mom teased me saying don't lie you are going to meet some girl today, don't you? I say don't make theories now mom I have to leave now. I took some money and left for the office

I reach the office and greet Sanju first and tell me here's some bread butter for you Sanju you wanted to eat this right? She gets happy and asks you remembered? Of course Sanju how can I forget after all you are my best friend. Now have your bread butter and give some to Ankita too. Sanju hits on my head and says so this was your motive. I said it's for you only but you should also share it because she's your friend. She says Ankita can't eat this I asked her why because she is fasting today my dear Sanju replied. Sanju time arrived and my dad called me asking me to send some documents to him via email for a voter Id card I said okay dad I'll do it right away. After that Sanju called me yelling where are you Yuvraj don't you want to eat your lunch today everyone is waiting for you

I said I'm not feeling good today so you guys carry on without me and I'm also doing some important work today. She says work should be done after lunch break lunch is more Important for now and don't lie to me you are not eating because Ankita is fasting today. I said you are a smart person Sanju she gets angry and says just wait and watch now after a few minutes Ankita calls me and asks Yuvraj why are you not eating today go and eat or else I won't talk to you ever again. Now come and eat properly. I went to the office and ate my lunch after that I was just sitting with Ankita lunchtime was almost over and Ankita said I'm feeling very hungry. So I asked Sanju can Ankita eat some regular fruits or something she said yes I hit her and said why didn't you tell me this before the break I would have brought her something. Lunchtime is not over yet so I'll bring something for her right now Sanju said please bring hide and seek biscuits for me too. I said okay I went to the shop in a rush and bought some fruits for Ankita and came to the office again. Ankita was happy to see me she asked who told you to bring these? I said now you can eat this I'm ordering you to eat right now just like you ordered me earlier. She ate the fruits happily and also thanked me for my efforts. This is how the day went we logged out and went to our homes I told Ankita to be careful while going home and eat some fruits if you feel hungry again before saying bye. I came the home and realised I didn't ask her about the kiss one more day was spent without knowing anything tomorrow for sure I'll ask her about her feelings.

The next day, when I was getting ready for the office hot boiling water fell on my leg and my skin was burnt badly some of the skin came out. My leg was in a bad shape but I only had 10 days left me now and I wanted to spend those days with Ankita. After a while, Ankita called me and asked its 11 am already why haven't reached the office yet. Where are you? I told her that I was on the bus and I'll there soon. I spilled some boiling water on my feet in the morning therefore it's hard for me to travel today. So Ankita told me not to come to the office today I'll talk with sir to give you leave. I stopped her and told her I don't want any leave there were only ten working days left for me in the office. So I wanted to spend the next ten days with you as you told me you don't want to be girlfriend but at least you can spend time with me as a friend she said "Tera Kuch Nahi Ho Sakta" and hung up.

I reached the office and Ankita saw me limping she got angry and said why didn't you come to the office when you are in no condition to walk. I didn't say anything and sat alongside her. She advises me to remove my shoes it'll be more comfortable for me so I did remove my shoe and it felt better. After a few minutes, Sanju came to me and said next week on 16th Ankita's birthday is coming I realised she was tight and I forgot about her birthday. Sanju said now we'll have to contribute to the cake. I said don't worry about that I'll manage, by the way, what are you going to

Gift her Sanju asked. So I told her I will gift Ankita nothing cause there are only two reasons for people to remember her. Sanju got confused and she told me most of the time I don't understand please explain your logic in layman's language to me. So I told her see people only remember you when you leave a strong impression on them to think about you like you'll remember a person if he has gifted you an expensive gift you won't remember the person who gave you some average gift. So I will gift her nothing which will make her think that the guy who loved me the most didn't gift me anything so she'll remember me on her every birthday. Sanju laughed and said where do you get these crazy ideas? I said I don't it's lord Krishna's gift only he knows. Sanju said but your last working day is the 15th and Ankita's birthday is on the 16 how are planning to attend her birthday? Please extend your working day for one more day I said sure even I want to spend my remaining days with her.

The next day I went to Ankita I told her to sit down and started reading the quotes that I wrote for her.

After that, we logged out for the day and went home. Suddenly Ankita called up and said Yuvraj I'll be coming to the beach today so bring vodka for me. I asked her will you drink it all she said yes you only have a few days left now and even I want to spend some time with you. I told her okay call me once you reach Juhu I'll bring the vodka, I immediately ran to the store and bought a magic moments bottle and sprite. After a while, Ankita called me and said she has reached she was waiting for me so I went to meet her and we both sat at the beach I gave her the sprite bottle with vodka mixed in it. I asked her again you'll drink all of it, right? She said yes I'll take care of it don't worry about it. I whispered you take care of the vodka but who'll take care of you? She heard it and asked what did you say? I said nothing please go ahead and enjoy. Ankita started to drink the vodka Little by little and she only took 4 to 5 sips from the bottle and realised that Ankita has already finished the vodka bottle. I was shocked to see her like this even after finishing the bottle she was still fine. I asked her are you okay? She said yes Yuvraj please bring me another bottle I want to have some more. I was stunned are you sure you can finish another bottle? I asked. She said yes I'll be fine now please do the honours so I bought another bottle of vodka and sprite and gave it to her we drank and watched the sunset together it was a beautiful moment. She started to get high now so but still, she was continuously drinking so I stopped her and took the bottle to finish the remaining vodka. She said I want to eat grilled corn now pleased bring me one. I was worried now she was very high now and I cannot leave her so I told her to come with me to the corn shop we can have grilled corns together she said I'm fine don't worry about me I'll wait here please bring the corn I'm very hungry I haven't eaten anything since this morning. So I trusted her and went to get the corn I bought it as quickly as I could and gave her the grilled corn she was enjoying the corn and also she offered me the same corn to eat with her hands.

It was a good moment I could never forget it. So after I told her it's getting late now

Let's head home now she agreed but she was not in the condition to walk by herself so I supported her by holding her by the shoulder and helping her to walk I realised she was in no condition to go home alone she was very high. Now she demanded to eat a gola but I said no she was acting weird and I thought what did I got myself into. I helped her to get in the rickshaw and sat with her she said it's okay I can go now but I said shut up now I'll drop you at the home even if it takes me the whole midnight. I won't leave you now. Ankita was passing out now so I asked her home address and she told the rickshaw driver she fell asleep on my shoulder I held her in my arm it was all perfect. Full moon, city lights, night ride and your crush in your arms everything was just perfect that feeling was indescribable. After a while, we reached her place and woke her up. She said thank you and started to walk towards her building I asked her to do you want to drop her at your house too she said no if my brother sees this I'll be grounded so I said okay bye then have a good night she said the same thing then she went inside her building and I went to mine the whole night I was thinking about the time we spent together. I will never forget this day then again tomorrow is Sunday and there are only 2 working days left for me.

Then came the last day of my office on 15th August I went to the office early and helped in decorating the whole office, we decorated the whole office then Ankita came and she was surprised to see the office she said wow you guys did a great job the office is looking so good. Sanju said it was all Yuvraj's idea he mostly did the decorations Ankita was impressed she said wow Yuvraj you are good at everything you are amazing I said no I'm not amazing this is nothing if I would have been amazing then you would have been my girlfriend. She said no that's totally different leave that tells me are you there in the office Tomorrow or this is the last day I said no I won't be there tomorrow Sanju slapped me and said idiot tomorrow is Ankita's birthday at least come till tomorrow then Ankita said don't force him Sanju let him go he doesn't want to attend my birthday. I said no it's nothing like that even today is my half-day so I won't be there tomorrow. Then I went to the place and sat there Ankita sat leaving two chairs between us I didn't respond and continued with my work. So Ankita came to me and said Yuvraj why are you leaving why can't you stay at the office. I laughed and said just now you were telling me to go she said but I want to stay now so I told her I'm leaving cause I'm not happy with the salary I want a job with a good salary I can stay but at one condition she asked me what is the condition? I want you to become my girlfriend then I won't quit. She said I can't try to understand Yuvraj, you are a good guy and even I like you but I don't want a relationship. I said okay then I can't stay here. We talked a lot then the time arrived it was 4 pm and everyone started celebrating I logged out from my system and started getting ready to leave then Ankita stopped me and said why are you leaving so soon at least stay for today I said I have a match today so I can't be late today. I know how much you love cricket so I won't stop you but please come to the office tomorrow at least I said I'll think about it and left. Ankita phoned me in the evening and asked me how was the match I said it was good we won today and how was your celebration did you enjoy it? She said yes we did you should have been there I missed you then she sent me her videos I said I've already seen your videos how can I leave the chance of watching you. She asked if you really love me this much then why aren't you coming tomorrow I didn't respond to her question so she said okay bye I've some chores to do. So even j said but and waited for the clock to hit 12.

Exactly at midnight, I wished her Happy Birthday Ankita and she said thank you and sent a heart emoji she said I knew you'll be the First person to wish me. So you were waiting for me then? I asked. "Jaa bay" she replied I told her you should go to sleep now tomorrow you have to go to the office and don't forget to give me a party I said. I'll give you the party if you'll come to the office tomorrow I said okay also I have written quotes for you she told me to send it I said I'll do it tomorrow now go to sleep bye gn.

I woke up the next morning and got ready to leave for the office after reaching out late I realised that Ankita didn't come to the office today so I asked Sanju where's Ankita she informed me that Ankita is sick today so she hast came to the office today. you know she usually has stomach aches I got sad after hearing this so Sanju came to me and said don't be sad Yuvraj she'll come but she'll be late today my mood brightened up after hearing this because I would have felt really bad that she was the reason that I came to the office for the last day and she's absent. After a while, Ankita came to the office and everyone wished her then she came to sit down with me and I wished her too. Then she asked so you were for me to come to you for the wishing I laughed and said see you have gotten smarter in my company.

Ankita asked me for the quotes so I told her after the cake cutting I'll send you the quotes after a while the team leader came and told everyone to log out and assembled everyone in one place. Now we all sang the

birthday song for Ankita then the team leader told Ankita to sing but she refused to say I don't know how to sing then Sanju said Yuvraj can sing instead of Ankita I angrily looked at Sanju saying Shutup don't utter rubbish. The TL pulled in the centre telling me to sing a song now I said my voice is not good I can't sing he said no now I want to hear a song from you so you'll have to sing something. I took a deep breath and thought I wanted to sing a song for Ankita and I got the chance so I shouldn't lose it.

Then I stopped and said thank you, everyone, started clapping for me and Ankita just stood there looking at me and I was looking at her. Then everyone shouted for the cake cutting she cut the cake and gave the First slice to me and said I know you purposely sang that song for me I thought your mind will change after this she said nothing and then everyone came forward to give her gifts. She started to open everyone's gifts one by one and started to take her video of unpacking the gift boxes. Ankita came to me and asked where my gift said what gift that song was your gift also I clicked your pictures and videos for free what other gifts do you want now? She laughed and said, "tu nahi sudhrega" in all the fun our shift ended and we left the office for home I asked Ankita today is my last day so can I walk you to the bus station she said sure I'll love that. So we went all the way by walking we didn't talk with each other because we didn't have anything to talk about we both were just walking together. So I said Ankita I don't know if I'll meet you after this I might get busy with my next job and I also stay far from your home. So I'll ask you for the last time do you love me? Ankita just replied with one sentence "itna pyaar mat kar sach bol rahi hun". I was speechless I didn't know what to say now so I told her you should go now your bus has arrived now Ankita held my hand and looked at me I was looking at her too the road was silent Ankita pulled me towards her and hugged me immediately I was surprised my eyes started to get wet. Ankita told me Yuvraj please don't go don't leave the office please work for a few months more I don't want you to go. I told her Ankita your bus has arrived you should go now it's late already. Ankita went into her bus and started to wave saying bye to me I waved back at her saying bye, I took a deep breath and told my self "I HOPE WE WILL MEET AGAIN".
