I shiver to continue treating him. I tried to control my hand so as not to put too much pressure on his wound.
"Ouch!" she cried.
Oh, I'm sorry. I'll do it gently." I apologized.
Fortunately, Lily and Abi were able to entertain the children while I was still treating his wound.
When I finished, I removed the ribbon I had used to tie my hair.
I let my hair down and just tied it to the child's knee.
She stopped crying right after I tied the ribbon into a knot.
When I was sure that you were properly tied to his knee, I gently wiped the remaining tears from his cheek.
As I got up from my knees and sat down next to the child, Lily moved to give me space.
I gently stroked the child's back. She must have been scared earlier when that snake chased him.
She looked up at me and smiled slightly.
I smiled back.
She's lovely.
I just wonder, what is this kid doing in that part of the resort? Why is he alone and who is he with?
Maybe if we hadn't been there before, maybe that's what had happened to this kid.
I can't even imagine it.
"Can you tell us why you are in the forest alone?" I asked.
She blinked twice. A couple of seconds passed, yet she didn't respond to my question. ?" I asked again.
I sighed. Macey, tell us, please. Why are you there? Where are you from? Your parents?" I asked again.
I saw the path of a bead of his tears dripping from his eye to his cheek and chin.
She rubbed it violently with her small hands.
"My puppy went there. I just followed. But I lost him. My puppy is lost, "she said.
Now she started crying again.
I don't know what I would say to settle this child. I couldn't promise to find her puppy, so I hugged her tight instead of letting another word come out of my mouth.
"Shh, stop crying." I will comfort him. You should've called someone to get your puppy; you shouldn't have followed him alone. "Look what happened. It's a good thing we weren't bitten by a snake. "
I will explain to him.
She nodded and hugged me back.
We were also there for a few minutes while feeling ourselves.
Macey still hugged me.
Thankfully, she calmed down and stopped crying.
The surroundings were so dark, the only light we had was the light coming from the moon.
When I woke up from the run I had done earlier, my mother told them to leave there to find their way back to the resort.
I took out my cellphone to call my grandmother, but to my disappointment, there wasn't even a single signal bar.
I was disappointed. I put it back in my pocket.
Come on, let's just find some route that's familiar to us. "Maybe we haven't gone far enough yet. I said.
They all hid and followed me. I held Macey's hand again. Using the flashlight on Lily and Abi's cell phones, we lit the road so that we would not stumble if there were any obstacles.
The trees were tall, so we could barely see where we had passed before. We were also unable to call due to the extremely weak signal.
