Married life (2)

The water stopped functioning. Mei was still covered with soap all over her body.

'Ugh.. what do I do now?'

'Towel!' she looked for her towel but it wasn't there. 'Gosh!..'

Rui was working on his laptop in the living room. He got tired of watching the screen for too long so he stood up and put his laptop on the side for a bit. Then he heard his name called out.

"Ui... Rui... Chen Rui!.." Mei's voice was calling for him. He wondered why she was looking for him. Mostly, when they barely talked to each other for the past few months.

So he walked towards the bathroom door.

"What's going on?" he asked as he knocked on the door hesitantly.

"Uhm. The water isn't working." Mei replied hesitantly.

"Oh. I'll check it out. Open the door." he replied bluntly.

"I need a towel... I can't find it.." she said flushed at the other side of the entrance of the washroom.

"Open it," he replied coldly.

"Oh. Ok..." she said sulking.

The man took off his shirt as the lady opened the door.

She blushed crazily as she saw her husband's naked body.

"What are you doing?!" she yelled as her face turned red.

"The other towels are for laundry. Did you not know that?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "Anyways put this on for now," he said and turned around.

Mei could see his ears turning red. She giggled and closed the door to put on the shirt. The shirt was pretty long for her. It covered up until her thighs. It was dark green without any writing on it.

'He sure is tall..'

Later, Rui found the problem with the tape and fixed it. He walked towards their room. The door was open so he just walked in.

"Chen Rui!" Mei An called him.

Rui got startled as he was thinking about his new project of the CHin industry since he occurred the CEO position of it. Then, he glanced over at the female calling his name.

"What?" the man interrogated her.

"Can I start... Uhm working?" she asked hesitantly since she didn't know if he was ok with his wife working.

"Of course. You must be bored alone at home, right?" he said with a soft smile on his lips.

Mei nodded as she blushed looking at him.

'He looks so handsome when he smiles' she thought dazed into his charm.

"Uhm. Also. Can we do it?.." she mumbled flushing.

"Do what?" he said clueless about what's going on in the mind of his wife.

"You know... What do husband and wife do when they get married?" she looked up at him as she saw his face becoming red as well. Even his ears got red from how much he reddened.

"Why... So suddenly?" he asked.

"Well... We didn't have our first night together. So I was wondering why not do it. We have to sooner or later, right? After all, we are married." she said hesitantly and looking around the room.

"Sure," he nodded and slowly kissed her lips.

She returned him the kiss. She always wished to do this with this man. Hoping one day, maybe he would give her the affection she had craved for.

Maybe one day he would crave for her touch as much as she did...

-The next morning-

The dazzling sunlight hit Mei An as she was sleeping peacefully after having her first time with her husband. She indeed lost her virginity to him, but she didn't mind.

He was the perfect man she could ever dream of. Either it was his looks, work, voice, he had it all. The slight unfortunate thing was his coldness but she was determined to give him all the warmth until he melted and gave in to her.

The female sat up on the bed and rubbed her eyes and looked at the room. Somehow it looked prettier than usual. The room had always been blue sky. There were violets in a vase on the desk.

'Where did this come from?' she tilted her head and walked towards the vase.

There was a message on a paper at the side.

- " My dear wife,

I have to go early at the office. Sorry for leaving you alone again. You can go search for any job you want today.

Have a good day.

I'll be home around 3 pm." - said the note.

Mei sneered after reading the note her husband left become work. She couldn't help but find him sweet! She can't remember how her parents acted as a couple back when they were alive but she for sure knew that her dad wasn't sweet like this to her mother!

For the first time, Mei didn't cry when she thought of her parents.

'Maybe it's thanks to my amazing husband.' she thought while preparing to go out to search for work.

Mei went out and saw a beautiful flower shop. It was filled with every kind of flowers. She strolled in to store and looked around.

"What kind of flowers do you want?" asked an old woman who came towards her. Her hair had become grey from old age. She also got wrinkles on her face.

"Oh. I don't know. I'm looking for work." she said with a brilliant grin.

"You can work here if you wish. The pay won't be too much although... I can understand if you refuse."

The old lady sounded dejected. So Mei shook her head no.

"Uhmm no miss. I can work here! My husband is rich enough" she said with a giggle. "I'm just here because I'm alone at home so I want to work somewhere to kill the time."

"Oh my, thank you, child" the woman replied with a smile.

Mei felt happy as well. Being a florist didn't sound bad.

'I'll learn the language of the flowers and impress him!'

-After the first day of work-

Chen Rui came home at 11 pm.

'She's probably asleep by now." he thought while loosening his tie and putting his bag on the desk.

Rui's assistant keeps persisting to come to his house to help with work but he refuses. He didn't want his parents to come to his home because he knows how big mouth his assistant is.

Someone hugged him from behind tightly.

Rui shocked, turned around to see who hugged him. It was his lovely wife. Although he liked her, he just kept his distance from her for some reason.

"What is it, wife?"

For the first time, he lovingly called Mei. She felt so happy she could die.

"Hubbyy~ I bought something for you," she said with a bright smile on her lips.

She picked up a bouquet of three different flowers and gave it to him.

"Oh. What's this about?" he asked as his face turned cold like always once again.

"The Agnus castus is to define how you are to me. Cold and indifferent." she pointed to the purple-coloured flowers poutingly.

"Then there's yellow roses. It means warmth. I hope you can feel my warmth." She said with a faint smile. She sounded dejected.

Chen Rui frowned but as soon as he was gonna speak, Mei cut him off before head.

"And the last one. It's the orange blossom flower. It means, faithfulness, marriage and.." she got closer to Rui's ear and whispered "eternal love" to his ear.

The young man blushed as Mei An whispered against his ear. He felt her breath against his ear making his heart beat fast. It felt like his whole body was burning.

'What's wrong with me?' he wondered as Mei separated from him to put the flowers in a new vase.

The vase was white and transparent. But there was heart's crafted on it. She smiled with arranging the flowers as she felt flowers wrapping around her waist.

"Hm?" she looked up and it was Chen Rui. THAT cold man was hugging her!

"What is it?" she asked chuckling.

"You can't space from me you know that?" he asked putting his chin on her shoulder.

Mei was confused.

"Hubby, I married you for life. I won't escape nowhere." she kissed his cheek turning around. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss.

The male returned the kiss to her.

"...my"

"....ke up"

"Mommyy"

"Mommy, wake up."

The voice of a child woke Mei up from her dream.

'It felt so real...' she looked down at her child and grinned.

"What is it, honey?"
