The bus took us to the small fishing village of Fornells.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Alan began. “There’s a very exclusive seafood restaurant here. Its lobster soup is delicious. Or so I’m told. I haven’t tried it because it’s over ?40 a bowl. Once a year the Spanish royal family sails into the harbour and visit the restaurant. However, when they do, all the other diners are asked to remain in their seats whilst the royal family is sitting. It’s considered impolite to stand whilst the monarch is seated. As compensation, everyone is offered free wine. However, what goes in must come out. So if you take full advantage of the generous offer, you might be crossing your legs until the King leaves.”

I smiled, imagining the discomfort.
