No. Miles forced himself to push those surprising, and unwelcome, feelings away. He could do this. He was there to find the person who had brutally killed little kids. He couldn’t be soft. Not now.
Miles felt Blake watching him and he looked back.
“What?” Miles asked, feeling irritated.
“Nothing.” Blake shrugged and turned away.

Devin stared at Miles and turned to Jeff, who gave him an imperceptible head shake.
