Chapter 1

After dying I feel nothing, no heaven and no hell just endless void. It's very disorienting to have a fully functioning brain but not having a body to move around with. After a endless amount of time I feel myself being pulled through the empty void. I see what looks to be a wormhole but it's made out of fire and currently pulling me into it. After struggling to no avail I just stopped and waited for the inevitable. When I got close I could feel the heat radiating off of it and when it finally pulled me through I blacked out. Awaking a shiny light was blinding my eyes, I tried to pull my hand over my eyes when I realized I didn't even have a hand, I tried to stand up as well but I lost my legs too! I look down and see that I'm just a ball of flame that floating in the middle of a field. I do a quick glance around the field and see two people fighting a huge bear. I spend ten minutes just trying to figure out how to float over to those people. After learning I float over there to hear one of them say in excitement.

Person Number 1 "I leveled up!"

Person Number 2 " Good job what are you going to put your stats in?

Person Number 1 "Probably put some in strength and stamina since I'm training to be a knight"

After hearing the two talking I got excited as well I mean who doesn't want to level up and become the hero or villain. Even though I studied martial arts I was a big fan of anime and comics too. I mentally thought "Status" and a screen appeared in front of me.

Fireball (Level 0)

After closing the screen I decided to hunt some monsters so I can gain some levels and improve those terrible stats. To my right there's a forest and to my left is another field so I decide to start my adventure in the forest. I float my way into the forest along my journey to find some monsters I look at the vegetation growing in the forest. Some trees have a cool looking moss on them that kind of looks like a grape vine but a mossy version. I see a shrub that has a cool leaf design and beside it are some berry bushes.

After a while of looking at plants I finally find a monster that I can kill. Although a rabbit might not seem too difficult but when your level is below it things can get pretty scary. Because I'm a floating ball of fire the rabbit doesn't pay any attention to me other than a one time glance. Not really sure on how to say the spell I just think "fireball" and it somehow works. The fireball grows to about 2 feet before finally stopping. I throw it like a baseball and it hits the rabbit and turns it into dust.

"Level Up"

I'm now officially a level one fireball. After killing the rabbit I decide to not put any stat points until I have more, I start farming some rabbits so I can get to level five and then I'll raise my stats. Once I reach level five I get an notification.

"Congratulations on reaching level five! For your hard you have been rewarded the appraisal skill".

"Nice I can finally see what level my enemies are and see the grade of items I get are".

After learning the appraisal skill targeting enemies is so much easier. Since the skill range is pretty decent I don't even have to be right up close to them. I spot a rabbit eating some grass on the forest floor and use my appraisal skill on it.

I throw my fireball at the rabbit injuring but not killing it. It starts running after me at an alarming speed. I quickly summon another fireball and launch it at the rabbit who is too close for comfort right now. After the second fireball hits it it finally dies and give me the precious xp. I pull up my status screen so I can finally raise my horrid stats. I decide to put two points into attack one point into stamina and the final two into intelligence.

Fireball (Level 4)

The sun was starting to go down in the forest so I decided to just take a little break and practice using my fireball spell to see if I could make it any better and/or make where I can summon it faster. I started summoning fireball then letting it die out and then repeating the process until I ran out of mana. After letting my mana fill back up I started this process again and continued through the night.

In the morning I woke up to a new notification. "Congratulations on reaching fireball level five you may now choose new characteristic that will be added on to your fireball spell.

A) Increase in diameter

B) Decrease summon time

C) Increased power

After thinking for a while I decided to go with option C since right now I'm not going up against anything that I would need a bigger fireball for. Option B was tempting but I think the more power the easier I will kill higher level enemies. After choosing Option C I go out into the field to see if another dire bear is nearby.
