LYANNA
I was fully aware of the person moving silently around the room, he or she thought I was still asleep on the bed. I've been awake for some time now, but I wasn't ready to face Silas. I was so angry at him, at myself for letting that happen. I could feel the mark on my neck, somehow it made my neck heavier or maybe I just imagine it. I would have been happier with him killing me, than having to live the rest of my life tied to him. Soon my body beings longing for him, needing to be around him. I sat up, restless when I saw the girl from the night before at the fireplace adding some more wood.
"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you." She bows, her accent unfamiliar to me. "They sent me to help get you to dress, milady."
"Who?" I frown, I was very capable of dressing myself. I was about to tell her I didn't need help dressing but I see the clothes she had already arranged on the chair.
"The king, milady." I ignore the strange look she gave me.
