CHAPTER 17: NEW LOOKS.

It was early morning the next day. Kane was already on his way to the office, he tried his best making sure he looks better than yesterday, so he could impress his boss. 

He arrived at the hotel few minutes earlier than his resumption time. Knowing that his boss hadn't arrived the office, he headed to Mr John's office, so he could apologize for yesterday.

He got to his office and noticed that Mr John wasn't on seat. He returned back to the waiting room, as he waits for his boss's arrival.

"Let today get better than yesterday please," he said to himself, as he took his seat.

Suddenly, Ava arrived the office as early as she could, meeting Kane already on seat waiting for her.

'I see, he's good at keeping to the time,' she thought, being impressed by Kane's commitment. But she will never let Kane know she was impressed.

"Good morning ma'am," Kane greeted, as she approaches the entrance to her office.

She stood a bit and looked at Kane hatefully. 

"This again?" she said, shaking her head in disappointment, on Kane's dressing. It was still not to his standards.

'What again this time?' Kane thought, wondering what was making her looked at him that way. He knew he was looking better than yesterday, and it's seems Ava wasn't still pleased with it.

"Don't keep him waiting outside," she said, working into her office.

"Huh? Sorry ma'am, who?" Kane asked, wondering. He quickly rushed into the elevator, as he couldn't get a response from his boss, heading outside to see who was waiting for him.

"Over here," Ava's driver Marty called Kane.

"Oh! Okay," Kane said, walking towards him.

"Good morning Marty," Kane greeted, as he approaches him.

"Good morning Kane," he responded.

"Are we going somewhere?" Kane asked, wondering.

"Yes! Please get in," Marty said, opening the car door for Kane, he never wanted Kane opening the door so as to avoid getting himself into trouble. He thought Kane wasn't going to handle the car door with care as much as he would.

Kane got into the car, sitting in the front seat. Marty got into the car as well, and drove off.

"May I know where we are heading to please?" Kane asked, wondering.

"You will definitely finds out when we get there," he responded, as he kept driving.

"Gosh! You aren't no different from her," Kane mumbled, looking through the glass door.

"Did you say something?" Marty asked, wondering.

"Huh? No. I didn't," Kane said, avoiding confrontation.

"Okay."

Suddenly, the driver parked the car, and came out from the car.

"Come out," he said to Kane, as he opens the car door.

"What is this place?" Kane asked himself, wondering as he raises his brows.

"Come with me," Marty said, as he walked into the building.

Kane quickly brought out his phone, and read through the address he was asked to go with a man. He suspected that could be where they were. 

"Oh yeah! I got it now," Kane said to himself, as he realized where they were.

"Who do we have here?" Mr Gomez said, as he sighted Kane and Ava's driver Marty. That was the man Ava had sent Kane to meet the previous day so he could get Kane some fitted suits. Mr Gomez own one of the biggest fashion house in the city of New York.

"Good morning sir," Kane greeted, still wondering why he was there. Ava only sent him to meet the man, she never stated the reasons to Kane.

"So, you couldn't find your way here yesterday huh?" Mr Gomez asked Kane, as he walked towards Kane.

"It was a silly mistake sir," Kane responded, feeling intimidated as Marty chuckled awkwardly at him.

"It's okay. I believe you've learned to be smarter?" Mr Gomez asked, staring at him.

Kane nodded his head, feeling uncomfortable.

"Come with me," Mr Gomez said, as he lead Kane into the fashion house.

Kane looked at Marty, so he could get a confirmation. Marty nodded his head, approving Mr Gomez's request.

Kane nodded his head, and followed after Mr Gomez. While Marty stood, as he waits.

"Why don't you have a seat?" one of Mr Gomez's men asked, knowing it was going to take some time before Kane returns.

"Am good," Marty responded.

"Okay."

"Whoa! Look at this!" Kane excitedly grabbed one of the outfits he sighted in the store. 

"You like that huh?" Mr Gomez asked, as he observed Kane's reaction towards the outfits.

"Yeah! I love everything in here," Kane excitedly responded, still looking round as he admired all of the outfits.

"Don't worry. You're gonna have a lot of these outfits," Mr Gomez said, and chuckled softly.

"Excuse me sir," Kane called his attention, as he was personally trying to select some outfits for Kane. He never wanted any of his men to do that because, he's usually careful when dealing with Ava muroe.

"Yes? Is everything okay?" Mr Gomez asked, wondering why Kane was calling his attention.

"I lost the money I was asked to give you sir," Kane reported, he needed Mr Gomez to be aware that he wasn't with the money.

"Yeah, that? I know. Don't worry, the payment has already been sent," Mr Gomez responded.

"Oh! Okay," Kane said, and continued admiring the outfits.

"Come make the fittings," Mr Gomez said, as he was done selecting the suits.

"So am truly going to have one of these?" Kane asked himself, as he walked into the fitting room, and saw the suits. He couldn't believe he was going to wear designers suit anytime soon. So he was so excited.

This suits cost alot and Ava was willing to pay. She decided on getting him more of the suit to avoid Kane repeatedly wearing some particular outfits.

The total cost was actually more than what she had given Kane before. Which was two thousand dollars. 

She had reached out to Mr Gomez, and requested that he increased the order from the initial budget.

Shortly after, Kane was done with the fitting, Mr Gomez instructed one of his men to package the outfits for Kane.

"Here you go," Mr Gomez's man said, and headed over package to Kane. 

"Thank you," Kane excitedly appreciated, as he collected the package.

"Why don't you change into one of those?" Marty asked, as he expected Kane to had thought of that himself. He knows that Ava doesn't like seeing him wearing those his so called suits, so he should have thought of changing. But Kane allowed excitement overwhelmed his thoughts.

"Right?" Kane asked, looking at Marty.

"Please come with me," Mr Gomez's man said, leading him back to the fitting room.

Shortly after, Kane walked out, looking all transformed. He smiled at Marty, but he didn't smile back at him.

Kane shrugged it off, and excitedly walked out of the building, holding the rest and the suits. He walked towards the car and made an attempt to open the door, but the car was locked.

Marty walked out from the building as well and unlocked the car, Kane quickly opened the door at the sound of the car and got in.

"Easy boy!" Marty yelled, frowning his brows. He got into the car, and drove off heading back to the office.
