Chapter. 8. Brother.
Nair: "Aai... Aai! Snap out of it!".
Aai: "...brother? brother came sit. See this...".
Nair: "ARE YOU AN IDIOT!....".
Ren: "Nair!". he holds onto Nair.
Nair: ".....We are leaving, come out". He seemed angry at her.
They all walked out with their things.
Aai: "Brother! brother wait!".
They stopped at a park.
Aai: "Brother, why are you angry?"
Nair never gets angry at Aai. The last time he shouted was before her accident and after when she had left him and stayed at her aunt's.
Nair recalled Aai's face.
He shut his eyes and clenched his fist.
Aai: "Brother?". She held his sleeves.
Nair: "How many times I've told you not to go anywhere alone. WHO THE HELL GETS SO LOST IN SOMETHING THAT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT THEIR SURROUNDINGS! Do you know how worried we'll were, ....we were searching you!".
Aai: "!!...I..hic sorry brother! Please don't get angry, please". Aai frightenes out seeing her brother angry.
Ren: "Nair! calm down".
Nair comes to senses, calming himself,he holds Aai and hugs her,
Nair: "Tch, I'm sorry, I didn't have to shout like that. Sorry!". holding her and patting her back.
Aai hugs her brother and apologizes.
Nair: "Please, don't leave just like that. Wherever you wanna go, I'll come with you. You are all I have now, so please okay?".
Aai nodded her head in approval.
Nair wipes her face. After settling everything, Nair gets a call from work and leaves for a while.
Aai apologies to Ren and Max for having them to search her
Aai: "Sorry, I left.... you alone without informing".
Max: "Just stop worrying others".
Ren: "Hey boy!".
Ren sends Max away to buy some drinks and then lays down on the grass and offers Aai to sit down.
Aai: "Will... brother... be still mad at me?". She asks looking down.
Ren: "Hmm might be''.
Aai suddenly looked to him, sad.
Ren sighed and sat up.
Ren: ''Well ...all were worried. Nair doesn't show but...you know he worries a lot about you. And about this matter, he has the right to be angry right?.''
Aai: ''.....''.
Ren: ''Don't worry he won't be. He was just afraid, of having you lose again''.
He patted her head.
Ren: ''But how was that, you enjoyed?''.
Aai: ''Hmm....''
Ren placed a small box on Aai's lap. Aai looked at him.
Ren: ''You might like it, for you...''. Then Nair and Max returned together. After having lunch they all returned home.
Past 10 of night.
After having a bath when Max came out, he saw Ren on his bed with laptop.
Max: ''Brother it's late''.
Ren: ''Then..''. He looked at Max. He placed his laptop aside and layed down.
Max: ''Brother, why are you so different to her?''.
Ren: "..!..What? Have you fallen for her and jealous of me?". he snickered.
Max jolted but he disagreed to Ren.
Ren: "Boy, she's like you. Her situation is hard but not worst. She's having rough days on herself. Whenever you meet her, do treat her properly. And if you have some personal feelings for her, dare you to make any move on her, you got that?''.
Max: "HUH ITS NOTHING LIKE THAT!". his face reddened. Ren laughed at his little brother's reaction.
Max: "Stop making fun of me. You seemed to be knowing her more than brother Nair. She's not someone special right?''.
Ren: "Special?...Might be..." he was in some thoughts for a second.
Max: "...!...".
Ren: ''What, are you not sleeping? It's already late. Don't you have school tomorrow?''.
Max: ''...There is''. he stood there thinking, with a worried and sad face
Ren: ''Max, come here''. He called Max with a low voice beside him.
Max climbed on the bed and layed down.
Ren: "Max, whenever you think of that time, you fall feverish. Next time don't push me away like that". he said with a upsetting tone.
Max: "..I....I'm sorry brother. I shouldn't have said those words to you. But it scares me, brother".
Ren: "I know. I'm sorry for making you feel unsafe. But I really mean it. Unless I feel you are fine yourself, I won't leave you. Besides you are my only dear brother". he hugged him as he said.
Ren handed over the meds of fever to Max who fell asleep after having them.
Ren: "You both.....".
