[Bonus chapter] Aran And Emma

Nobody knew why she was here yet, so Emma knew that she wouldn't get turned down just yet. While a host of festivities were happening just outside of the Taeshian palace walls, Emma found herself welcomed by her brother.

"If you told us you were arriving a couple of days advance, we could have prepared more for you," Prince Aran told her as one of their maidservants delivered food and their cousin went off to play in the palace corridors.

Emma clasped her hands together and fiddled with her thumbs. She couldn't even touch her food yet as she looked her brother in the eye. 

"It was… a little sudden. Some things happened in Akkadia and now I'm here," Emma smiled awkwardly at her brother. "I honestly don't want to bother but I have no one else to turn to except for my own family."
