Hiatus [Until 31 December 2022]

First, deepest apologies for not updating for the past month. There's just been too much work / Life that I couldn't keep up. I did keep trying, but the struggle is real.

I want to thank all of my loyal readers that have kept me going all this while. However, I am unable to get any creative juices, or time, to write out the novel as I wish to. Admittedly, Alex is harder to write as I am more "in love" with Kyle. That was my first book, my first sweat-and-tears, and until now, I still do not know how I managed to write what I did. /heh

Anyway, to be fair on everyone, I have decided to take a long, long break.

For my faithful readers, it's only fair I bore you with some real-life story of mine. You see, in the first quarter of last year, I took up another position at work - which resulted in lots more work and less time to do what I loved in my spare time. Because I hardly had any spare time. This particular position is on a contract basis for two years and it's expiring soon. Whether or not I am going to renew it (or if they want me to, I dunno) is another question altogether.

No, I am not stopping writing but I am taking it easy right now.

In actual fact, I've also got another book in my mind and some chapters written out. An entirely new genre and fantasy themed. Almost similar concept to the first novel and I find I have more fun with that than Alex.

Because it's actually the continuation of Kyle.

So, I am writing both at the same time. When I'm maxed out with Alex, I write the fantasy. When I get inspired with Alex, I write Alex. I have my basic framework with Alex like I did with the first novel but somehow, fleshing it out isn't as smooth and 'easy' as it was with Kyle.

I'm compiling the chapters as and when I have time and inspiration before I start posting again. To that end, I am targeting next year ie January 2023.

I actually plan to release the fantasy one on a regular basis, with Alex being on weekends. So, two books together next year. A new one, and continuing Alex.

So, for now, I bid you farewell.
