Secret Bride In Public

"Where are we going?"

Daniel asked his driver while looking at his phone.

"We are going to Red Velvet Entertainment for an interview, Sir.", replied his driver.

"An interview?"

"Yes, sir."

Daniel's lips curved into a grin.

On the other side, Sia was talking over the phone at her office.

"Papa, please, listen to me!"

Sia was teary-eyed. Nobody answered. Her father was listening with an angry look.

"Listen to her, Fiano.", said Memona.

Sia heard it.

"Mama, mama!"

Fiano hung up the phone.

"Why are you being so hard on your daughter, Fiano?"

"She deserves it."

"But...."

She was about to say something when Fiano interrupted.

"Enough! Don't talk about her from now onwards."

On the other hand, Sia put the phone down from her ear. She sighed. She went back to her desk where piles of work were waiting to be finished. She was indulged in her work when Lisa came to her:

"Sia! you need to check this out!"

"What?"

"It's Mr. Daniel's interview."

"So?"

"It's creating hype over the internet."

She showed her a clip of one of Daniel's recent interviews. The interviewer asked:

"Mr. Daniel, not much is known about your personal life. Why is that?"

He replied:

"I am a rather reserved person and don't want my personal life to be the talk of the town."

The interviewer continued:

"So, we won't be able to know who owns your heart?"

"You want me to tell you if I'm single or not?"

"Yes, sir", she chuckled.

"Okay, so I announce today that I have someone special in my life and would soon get married to her."

Sia and Lisa were stunned. The clip continued.

"Now that you have announced your wedding, please tell us who that lucky girl is."

Daniel put his forefinger on his lips and said, "It's a secret. Plus, you'll find out."

The clip ended, making the girls confused. Sia remembered that she said Daniel to do what he wanted. He took it seriously. She was in a fit of rage when she got a call from Daniel:

"Hi, wifey. How are you?"

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!!???", said Sia.

"What happened?"

Daniel was confused.

"You announced our wedding!?"

"So?"

"What's the rush?"

"You told me to announce it after you tell your parents. They already know about us so, why should we delay?"

"You're so stubborn!", nodded Sia.

"That I am."

He chuckled and continued:

"The driver will pick you up after work."

"No need."

"We need it. We have to start the wedding preparations."

"Preparations?"

"I want to hold a ceremony as soon as possible. How about we hold it for next week? Then, we can go on a vacation together."

"Isn't it too sudden?"

"I can't wait, dear."

"Seriously!", she gasped.

She told her friends that she is going with Daniel and would be late. After she was done with work, a beautiful black Audi was waiting for her at the front gate. The driver opened the door for her and she got inside. The car headed towards a fancy restaurant. Daniel was waiting for Sia there. He smiled as he saw her approaching him and took out a chair for her to sit on. She sat down and he went to his chair. The waiter came to take their order. He ordered steak for both of them. After noting down the order, the waiter went away. He started the conversation:

"I know it's a bit sudden but please trust me."

"I trust you, Daniel."

She replied in a dull voice. She continued:

"It's just that I feel really bad that my parents would not attend my special day."

Daniel held her hand.

"Don't worry. They'll understand someday."

"I hope so.", she replied.

Sia remembered:

"You said something about the wedding preparations?"

"Ohh...Yeah..I forgot. Let's go and meet the wedding planner after lunch."

"What? You're really serious?"

"You thought I was joking?"

"No...I mean...Nothing...Okay, let's go."

She sighed.

Daniel held her hand again.

"Trust me, everything would be okay."

She smiled at him.

"You look beautiful when you smile, Sia."

He let go of her hand. She suppressed a smile, crossed her arms, and replied:

"Tell me something I don't know."

Both of them started chatting leisurely.

After they were done with their lunch, they went to the wedding planner's office. They finalized the venue and the theme after a long discussion. Both of them were tired. It was around 9:00 pm when she reached home. She thanked Daniel and was about to go when he called her. She moved around to face him.

"I forgot, the driver will pick you up tomorrow in the afternoon to choose the wedding dress."

"Okay."

"Don't forget....be ready at 1:00 pm sharp."

"Okay, anything else?"

"No, now you can go."

"Bye."

"Bye."

Daniel's car went away. Daniel was wearing a mask and a cap the whole time, so they were free from his fans. Sia went inside the apartment. Her friends were curious to know why was she out for a long time. She told them everything. They were very excited. Both of them were planning out their dresses as they would be the bridesmaids after all. They were chatting when Sia remembered something. She tried to call her parents but couldn't. She became sad but luckily, her friends were there to make her laugh with their lame jokes.

The next day, as promised, the car was outside her building at 1:00 am sharp. She was ready. She was wearing black pants with a full-sleeved red T-shirt and black shoes. Her hair was tied into a bun. She had her usual black sling bag with her. She got into the car. She noticed that Daniel was also sitting beside her. He held her hand the entire time. They stopped in front of a very expensive clothing brand boutique. They went inside. The attendants welcomed them. After a while, the designer, Cheeps, came.

"Hello, Daniel. What's up?"

"Hey, Cheeps. I'm fine. I have a job for you."

"Yeah, you're welcome here, boy."

She winked at him. Sia was listening to them. He held Sia's hand.

"Show us your best work to compliment her."

"Not a problem, boy. Come."

She asked Sia to come with her. Sia hesitated but he signaled her to go. Cheeps showed her different wedding gowns but nothing seemed to impress her. After some time, she laid her eyes on the last dress. She was mesmerized. It was a white long gown with net sleeves. The flare had a silver net lining on the outer corners. To her surprise, it was the only dress she was comfortable wearing. All the other dresses had a slit or were too exposed. She said:

"May I try this one?"

She pointed at the gown.

"Sure, dear. Tracy! help her with the gown."

"No...No...I'll do it myself."

Cheeps raised a brow.

"I don't think that you would be able to, so keep quiet and let Tracy help you."

"Okay..."

Tracy helped Sia wear the gown and she took her where Daniel was. He was sitting on the sofa, munching some protein bars while looking at his phone. Sia called him and he was astonished. No doubt, she was looking like an angel in the gown. He stood up.

"You look.....amazing."

"Thanks."

Tracy sensed something and left. Even Cheeps was surprised at her look.

"The gown is made for her.", she thought.

"How about I wear this at our wedding?", asked Sia.

"Sure.", replied Daniel.

"Nice choice, girl.", said Cheeps.

"How much is it?"

Sia did not want to increase his burden.

"We'll discuss this later. I'll buy it."

Daniel said as he took Cheeps to the side and chatted with her for a bit. Tracy helped Sia remove the dress and she changed into her casual clothes. When she came out of the dressing room, Daniel was done talking to Cheeps. He approached her.

"Let's go."

He said while holding her hand. She replied:

"You did not tell me the price of the dress."

"Oh...don't worry. It's settled."

"I don't wanna be a burden to you."

"You are not, honey. I have to take responsibility after all."

"As you wish. Seriously, I can not win an argument with you."

They ate ice cream and Sia reached home in the evening. Her friends were eagerly waiting for her. She told them everything and soon, a package was delivered to her doorstep with a note that read:

"To my beautiful confidant

From

Guess Who?"

She was confused. She opened the package and found the same gown that she wore at the boutique.

"It must be Daniel."

"Oh...How cute!"

Nat and Lisa pouted while holding each other. Sia shrugged:

"Let's go to sleep, shall we, girls?"

The other two nodded.
