I found you

Once I dropped off the girls I started to slowly make my way back up to my chambers. I was in the hallway that was close to my door when my mother walked up to me.

"I see you and the girls had fun today." She said as she looked me up and down. My dress was a little muddy and still had some grass on it.

"We did." I said while still smiling, relieving Lord James touch upon my skin.

"Well your father wants us to join him in the private dinning hall, away from the rest of the people at cort." She said as she started to walk away from me.

" Yes ma'am see you then." I said while waving goodbye. I quickly ran to my chambers to find Kristan waiting on me to get back for dinner. I couldn't help but notice her staring at me with a weird look on her face.

" Sorry I know I am late but mother stopped me in the hallway." Before I could continue she interrupted. "Did something else happen? You look a lot happier than I have seen you in days."

I was taken back by her response, so instead of answering her I walked into my closet. Kristan had laid out a beautiful dinner gown agross my vanity chair. It was light blue with crystals on the top to make the eyes of any man fall to them.

As I looked at the dress I let my fingers gaze upon the soft fabric. She walked up behind me and spoke. "How long have I known you child?" I smiled as I turned around to face her. "Since I was in my mothers womb."

"Exactly, so I know you better than anyone especially since I am your personal lady maid. So tell me who he is?" She replied

I started to smile and let my childish self out as she smiled back at me. "Well he is a prince, Kristan. And a very handsome one at that." I said as she helped me into the dress.

A smile snuck up on her face once I was all dressed up in my finest royal apparel. "You are sunning my darling. And if this prince you talk of sees you, he will drop down on one knee and propose."

I laughed and pulled away from her. She helped me place on my shoes then I was off to the private dining room.

Once I made it to the large doors, the guards opened them. Before I had time to scan the room and see if the heavens have blessed me with seeing the prince again, the Guard announced. "Lady Charlotte has arrived."

I quickly made my way to my normal seat to find someone sitting in it. At a closer look it was Lord James. The only seat left at the medium size table was by him. I let out a quick breath then started to make my way towards him.

Before I could sit down he was on his feet by the chair. Once I sat down he pushed me forwards towards the table. I scanned the rest of the people at the table. My parents, Lord Andrews and his daughters then another fellow that sat to my left.

My heart started to beat fast in my chest as Lord James pushed my hair away from my neck to whisper in my ear. "I found you." He said in a husky voice that sent shivers down my spine. The feeling was sending my mind and my inner wolf crazy.
