Fan Xiaoyu

Jun Bohai and Shen Lihua walked into the cafeteria looking for Xiulin and Lihua finally found her sitting beside a girl whose back was turned to them.

She signaled Bohai and they both walked her way slowly as they saw her eating like usual.

Xiulin knew what they were gonna say as usual when she saw them coming."We were worried about you blah blah.."

She wasn't a child but she has no idea when she has become one for these both. She sometimes she literally finds them as parents always chiding her to be careful like they didn't need to warn her much.

She signaled them to stop as they both tried to start talking in their anxious expression.

"I know you guys are worried and I'm sorry for troubling you. So don't start with your lecture now as we have a guest here with us today", that is when Bohai finally realized they had company. He looked at the girl in front of him and gave her a small nod as acknowledgment.

"Fan Xiaoyu?"Lihua called out with a raised eyebrow as Xiaoyu turned to look at her, but she never met this person so she could only nod slowly indicating that it was her.

"Do you know her?"Xiulin asked Shen Lihua who was eyeing Fan Xiaoyu suspiciously not replying to what Xiulin said. She only came back when Bohai shook her a little.

"Nope, not personally," she said as she looked at her again while Fan Xiaoyu was fidgeting with her arms as she noticed her looking like that.

"I'm Jun Bohai. It's nice to meet you," he introduced himself as he gave out his hand for a shake with an easygoing smile.

Fan Xiaoyu could already guess what kind of a guy he was, the easy-going rich kid with too many girl best friends she told herself as she shook his hand with a smile.

Shen Lihua also had to shake her hand right after Bohai just to give him some face. Though she stopped giving Fan Xiaoyu weird looks she did keep an eye on her to see if it's really true as the rumors say about her.

Fan Xiaoyu later left after adding Xiulin in WeChat.

Then Xiulin turned to Shen Lihua for an explanation on why she behaved like that to her new buddy while the other one only shrugged with a bored expression. Bohai on the other hand couldn't even understand what was going on here.

"Who is she?"Xiulin asked as she took a seat beside her.

"Fan Xiaoyu is the daughter of the Fan Corporations Chairman. She is an illegitimate child who is always bullying her half-sister and always creating trouble for her. That's the reason they sent her abroad at a very young age and she came back again recently."She explained as she expected her to have a huge expression only to see that she dozed off.

She slowly giggled, apologizing when she noticed that Lihua was glaring at her.

"It was boring," she said as Lihua sent her another glare.

"Are you friends with the half-sister or something?" she asked bored as she checked out her phone.

"Not exactly she is just my classmate, I never talked to her" Shen Lihua explained as Xiulin sighed at her stupidity.

Bohai just acted as a bystander as he looked at both of them in between while playing a game on his phone.

"My dear Lihua, this is where young girls like you go wrong," she said as she laid her hand on her shoulder to explain it to her while Lihua frowned at how she was painting herself as a worried elder.

"Did you see her bullying her sister?" she asked her seriously as Bohai also kept aside his phone to look at both of them.

Shen Lihua thought seriously and then slowly shook her head as the light started appearing in her eyes as she realized what she was trying to explain to her.

She, Shen Lihua, has never seen Fan Xiaoyu bullying her sister, but she has judged because she had just heard rumors about it. She couldn't help but hit her head thinking how she embarrassed herself in front of her friends now.

She was ashamed to be such a bad judge of character as she turned to look at Xiulin with a self-mocking smile as Xiulin patted her shoulder as a way of understanding to tell her that she can understand her plight.

"I hope you think before you act next time. Our small acts break people's hearts," she said as she thought back to a few times in her life where she was as careless as her.

"We humans are very cruel and stupid creatures," she said as she looked at both of them with a sad smile.

"We fail to appreciate the real thing. Only to cry and regret when we lose it," she said as she looked out the window where she saw a bird trying to fly.

"We are lucky. I mean, you guys are lucky. Please cherish that," she said as she got up to leave as wiped tears running down her cheek.

Shen Lihua stopped Jun Bohai who was gonna follow her behind.

"She needs space," she said as she sighed while Bohai could only look at her as she ran out.
