PREY AND PREDATOR

In a luxurious compound littered with bodies, under the darkening sky, silence reigned as a group of people trained their gazes on a skinny, unremarkable boy who stood in the very center of the compound. Beside him, two people lay on their backs, exhaustion evident on their faces and their bodies spotted numerous bruises, a testament to their close-call with defeat in their recent battle.

These two were none other than the two Protectors, Hermes and his transformed assistant, Lucius. The other people who gaped at this group was none other than the students from Mid-Mount High, and naturally, the main target of their awe was none other Ethan. A boy they had thought was just like them, a normal seventeen year old who loved to have fun. Finding out their friend was nothing like they had imagined was quite the blow to their psyches.
