In the void of the solar system of Earth, a strange celestial phenomenon can be observed on the surface of the Earth. From one of its oceans, a bright gray light erupted out of nowhere, and with it, if one knew the ability to sense mana, qi, or any derivation of that same mystical energy that exists throughout fantastical worlds, they can quickly notice the astronomically large amount of mana forming from that pillar of bright gray light.
But the gray light didn't stop, as the moment it reached the upper layer of Earth, it stopped and exploded outwards like pouring water into a bowl. Intricate patterns formed all over the surface of Earth, and any mage would look at it in awe upon noticing the complex profundities the gargantuan magic construct held.
Some might even consider the strange magic construct that randomly appeared in the sky the work of a god because even if Demigods were powerful, very few hold the power to basically affect an entire world. To achieve that feat, it's essentially having a step into the realm of gods already!
But who was Isaac Deathwill? In his previous life, he was renowned as the Emperor of Death, the most powerful Demigod of Tellus, and the greatest mage to grace the lands. He has lived for over a thousand years, his knowledge now knows no bounds with the help of the Akashic Library bestowed to him by a certain godly entity far beyond the constraints of reality.
As Isaac Deathwill looks at the sky above him draped in the color of gray, he lightly grinned and raised his staff of draconic bones lightly, and with that…
Boom.
A silent explosion of light erupted on a celestial scale, encapsulating the entirety of Earth and even appearing like a bright gray star in the solar system. But in mere moments, the light quickly receded as the dangerous energy the magical construct held dissipated into Earth's atmosphere, which caused changes to rapidly occur on the Earth's surface. Plants grew crazily as they mutated due to the increase in magical energy in the air, animals turned ferocious and monstrous, and natural disasters roared fiercely as more and more changes occurred due to the surge of mana in the atmosphere.
And yet, even as the whole world underwent such changes, a deafening silence greeted it. All the humans in the world stared blankly in front of them, an eerie feeling can be felt throughout the entire world as their eyes were devoid of any will, as if they had all turned into mindless robots with no capability to think on their own.
"This… Is this what it feels like to have an entire world groveling at your feet?" Isaac muttered while his whole body shook. His originally powerful aura which can cause cities to quake, was now feeble and weak. His immense strength was now gone, and an immense feeling of weakness struck him while his hand struggled to even hold his staff.
Isaac's cheat has one huge weakness, it is that a portion of his soul must be used to override the control over another being and turn them into his Servant, an immortal entity that exists between the gates of life and death.
Even if it would take just a sliver to revive a powerless human being compared to a powerful Demigod, at around a few billion entities, it would of course make his soul weak. In fact, with his Demigod soul, it would be impossible to turn all of humanity into his Servants.
But he has existed and lived for over a thousand years, coupled with his immense intellect and the guidance of the Akashic Library, he of course knew a couple of ways to divert around this weakness.
Puking out his blood, Isaac Deathwill calmly waves his arm and out of nowhere, a rift opens up in the air in front of him. Flying through it, a milky white soul greeted him which then flew through the air and entered his chest.
But weirdly enough, both his soul and the new soul merged perfectly as if they were the same. Feeling his soul stabilized once more at the peak of Demigod, Isaac lets out a breath of turbid air while thinking to himself: 'While I was absorbing the Ancient Dragon Spirit, my understanding of both Life and Death rapidly increased at an unprecedented rate upon giving it my full focus along with Bahamut's assistance when they were outside Earth. Due to that, I was able to devise a way to 'clone' my soul, and not only that, but even directly increase the strength of my backup souls with my high comprehension of both Life and Death, which complements well with the Law of Soul.'
Clenching his fist that surged with strength once more, he closed his eyes and what greeted him was not darkness but an array of countless beings' perspectives. This was the ability of his cheat, allowing him to build a connection with all of his Servants. And weirdly enough, many perspectives showed weird sights.
Some showed a grand purple plain of shrubs where strange alien creatures reside, others showed hellish landscapes where demonic monsters roamed, while some showed endless yellow seas like liquid gold where aquatic creatures swam.
'With Bahamut roaming outside Earth, and having him leave behind parts of him in those worlds, I have allowed my own 'talent' to rapidly rise. Due to my cheat evolving a few weeks ago while I absorbed the Ancient Dragon Spirit, it allowed me to form a deeper connection with my Servants, which gives me a portion of beasts naturally gifted with the ability to comprehend certain laws' aptitude. Using Bahamut, my own aptitude rose through multiple realms, which gave me multiple Demigod-level law comprehensions in the span of weeks, and even my own comprehension of Life and Death increased by a gargantuan degree.'
Life and Death themselves are what allow beings to traverse the path of comprehension and enlightenment of the reality around them. Without the concept of life and death, the notion of sentience would have never existed, and comprehension would have never been a thing. Due to that, and with the mysteries of his own cheat, Isaac Deathwill did something quite terrifying: He can now attain the aptitude of beasts, their talent, and boost his law comprehension to an incomprehensible degree by turning them into his Servants.
Theoretically speaking, this was even more terrifying than Nox Aeterna's ability to freely enter and leave the dreams of mortals and gods, because if Isaac were to slay a god and successfully make it his Servant… Then he will have essentially attained god-level comprehension of a law instantly.
Not only that, but if it was a God Beast, then he can even gain its aptitude, which boosts Isaac's own talent to comprehend that law. Gods are mysterious beings, and they hold a certain ability that allows them to understand their own laws more quickly compared to mortals, and a God Beast would of course have that same ability but at a more terrifying rate to balance out their lack of wisdom, so Isaac would have the same talent as a God Beast if that was the case.
Stabilizing his own mind that surged with information from billions of human Servants, he wielded his other brains stored inside his storage space to activate. All of his brains were augmented by nanites and are helped by Ai, meaning he now has multiple brains functioning at the same time that can rival powerful computers, and due to his cautious nature, he prepared more than enough to handle controlling billions of beings.
As he did all that, less than a second has actually passed in reality. If the whole world, if all of humanity were to suddenly just not move, then a lot of accidents would have already occurred. Cars would crash, buildings would explode, planes would crash, and an apocalypse would quickly occur in a matter of minutes.
Due to that, he also set up a time acceleration array around the area, which allowed him to not only heal his soul, and stabilize his mind, but also prepare more for what would happen next. Without stopping his movements, the two blue balls of light beside him shone brightly as the fearsome amount of energy they produced poured into his soul, transforming into magical energy he can wield to cast magic.
Next, he glanced at the other people inside the time acceleration array, and they all nodded at him silently. With a flash of light, each of them disappeared one by one. Soon, the only people left were both Isaac Deathwill and Clover Fourleaf who clung to his body like a baby that doesn't want to be left alone.
Isaac lightly grins while wrapping his hand around Clover tightly, thinking to himself with joy: 'Clover, oh Clover, you truly are my four-leaf clover. Without your help, this plan wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it is right now. Just like that, no one was able to stand in my way, and all of Earth's humanity is now my Servants.'
He smiled warmly, letting go of his staff and patting Clover's hands that blushed lightly in response. She snuggled her head to Isaac's chest while looking up and saying with a bright smile: "Darling~"
"Yes?"
"After this… can you perhaps… perhaps reward me?" She said as her face flushed like a ripe tomato.
Hearing that, he sighed inwardly: 'Even with the whole world under my entire control, there is one being that I haven't been able to turn into a Servant—Clover Fourleaf. Her luck is simply too immense, that even with my direct interference, her luck continues to grow at an astronomical rate. Before she ascends to godhood, I must have her become my Servant already and kill her.'
Though he was having malicious inwardly, which should have already brought a catastrophe upon him due to the sheer difference in luck, his face flourished with warmth on the outside, and said with a voice akin to a calming lake: "Of course, Clover."
Hearing him, she giggled like a child and hummed a bright tune.
With his 'lover' now appeased, he wielded the replenished mana in his soul and the both of them disappeared with a flash of bright white light. The next moment, Isaac Deathwill and Clover Fourleaf found themselves inside a neatly organized room with metallic gray walls and a black tiled floor. In the middle of the room, a circular table formed from nanites can be seen with floating holograms laid on top of the surface of the round table.
Noticing that they were back in the room, Clover Fourlear let go of Isaac and sat on the chair beside him. On the other hand, Isaac sat on his own chair as the holograms in front of them changed to show the entirety of the Earth as a spherical globe. On it, countless blue dots can be seen without moving as if time has come to a stop.
That was due to them living in accelerated time, which gave him a breather to prepare himself fully for the upcoming change that will soon occur.
"Here, darling~"
Without uttering a word, Clover knew what Isaac needed and her pair of blue eyes suddenly had a pair of golden four-leafed clovers on top of them just like a magical symbol. At the next moment, Isaac felt a strange change as he immersed himself in the soothing sensation he felt once more. This was his very luck being alleviated by Clover Fourleaf using her cheat, which holds a lot of benefits for Isaac, not just for this single plan, but for what is essentially forever as long as he lives.
Feeling that surge of luck, he then casts multiple spells on himself, while Ai rapidly spreads its nanites throughout the entire world, taking control over the entire internet in mere moments.
With both the entire world's technology, internet, and luck rivaling heaven by his side, he takes a deep breath and a glint flashes in his eyes, and so…
Time continued.
AN: This chapter has 2029 words.
Author from the present here, so now that I finished plotting the entirety of IR: Re Volume 1: Space, Time, and Gu, I can confidently say Kaleido really becomes a big fucking bad guy. He literally did a Kang the Conqueror but more wacky. And to be completely transparent, I was also not expecting that ending because the end goal I had in my mind was that Kaleido escapes the Gu World. But I then inspected all of his past actions and events, and those random acts he did that were for the sake of boredom became part of now one of the biggest brain plot I have created that involved millions of years in the making; not only fooling Heaven's Will, but the entire Gu World.
