Ch 118 – The Truth of Lute’s Past, More Mysteries, More Plans, and LONGEST FUCKING CHAPTER YET! (4K WORDS?!)

There they stood, one was an almighty Reincarnate while the other was a common-born man with high talent in magic.

Louis Crawford, the Reincarnate known as God's Mistake, who was mistakenly killed by God in another world, is now reincarnated to Terra to defeat the Demon Lord. He wields two certain cheats, both broken and overpowered.

3 No's Magic: The ability to have no need for the three major components in casting Classical Magic; No Incantation, No Attribute, No Support. It directly breaks any common rules of Classical Magic. You can say he's a spirit of all elements in human form.

Magic Tool Creation: The ability to create magic tools through etching unique words on ordinary objects. Then, what is the difference between it and runesmithing? It's simply to the fact that he can add words to no limit, turning even a wooden branch into a divine sword. Etching runes onto objects would mean they'll have an upper limit of how many runes they can handle, that's why most talismans only have one single effect. To have more runes means having higher quality materials.

Opposite to him was Lute Stolas. He wore a dark purple robe along with a featureless white mask, showing his two dark purple eyes that gleamed with intelligence. Hovering over his open right palm, one can see a purple cube that exudes a purple light, and it seemingly held countless souls within it with Don Will Dead personally confirmed using his racial abilities.

'So many souls, the energy inside it is simply overwhelming.' Don Will Dead thought.

"[Mana Essence]," Don Will Dead muttered, trying to see how much mana Lute actually holds now.

And surprisingly, he saw a normal amount of mana for an above-average S Rank mage, with nothing out of the ordinary. Intrigue by this new discovery, he then wondered about Lute's absurd mana regeneration, 'Maybe it comes from the purple cube?'

"Louis Crawford, to think I could finally meet you once more in only a couple of months after the last time we met! Fate truly is strange, isn't it?" Lute exclaimed, his eyes turning hysterical as Don Will Dead felt something ominous is incoming.

"Oh? I don't recall meeting you before?" Louis said, his eyes cold while an arrogant smile adorned his face.

"Oh, it's simply because you have only met my previous self. The previous Lute who I have finally discarded upon our fateful meeting," Lute said, the purple cube he wielded glowing brightly as Don Will Dead heard the shrieks of the souls contained within the purple cube.

"Oho, really? Even if I had met the current you before, then I would have simply forgotten due to the fact that you are much weaker than me," Louis arrogantly proclaimed, before grinning fiendishly.

"Hahaha! Good, GOOD! I'll cherish the time I get to beat you to a pulp, LOUIS CRAWFORD! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE AT DEATH'S DOOR!" Lute shouted, and Don Will Dead finally saw it. The burst of mana emanating from the cube flooded directly into Lute's soul, increasing it to an amount that what he estimated as a Z Rank Mage, shocking him at how he managed to do it.

"You dare shout at me! I'll show you that once an ant, always an ant!" Louis shouted, his arm raising to the air, preparing to cast a spell.

With haste, multiple balls of fire shot outwards toward Lute who looked at the balls of flames with hysterical eyes.

"IS THAT ALL YOU CAN DO? LOUIS CRAWFORD?! SO BE IT! [FIRE]!" With a burst of flames, Don Will Dead widened his eyes as a pillar of flames tens of meters wide shoot out. It then rapidly approached Louis who only looked at the pillar that can directly match S-Rank spells mockingly.

As smoke covered the entire area, Lute waved his arms and cast another spell, producing a light green magic circle and causing a blast of air to shoot towards Louis Crawford.

Watching the smoke recede, Lute saw Louis standing there, unscathed with no scorch marks on his entire body.

"Fool! Magic can do nothing against me! My entire clothes are enchanted-" Louis arrogantly shouted, before his body was suddenly flung towards the air and he puked out blood.

'W-what?' Louis thought, looking down towards the ground and saw Lute appearing at the place he was standing previously. Then with a flash, he suddenly sees Lute appearing directly before him.

"It seems like physical damage isn't completely nullified, huh? A 99% reduction, perhaps?" Lute muttered, his eyes were cold while he grabbed Louis' neck.

Spinning in the air, Louis was flung towards the ground rapidly, creating a large crater to form along with countless cracks on the ground around him. His mind went into disarray in an instant as he felt a sharp pain throughout his whole body, 'H-How? I should have been able to react to any of his attacks! How come I couldn't dodge him at all!'

Landing beside him, Louis coughed out blood and saw Lute's dark purple eyes directly looking at him. "Surprise? Shocked at how you felt pain and couldn't react at all? That's simply because I moved at more than a kilometer per second, and the punch I have thrown you before could have destroyed an entire kingdom if I hadn't restricted the wind pressure formed and focused the force on one point. Without your clothes, you would have died countless times already."

Hearing his explanation, Louis' eyes widened in—for the first time—fear. 'O-One kilometer per second?!'

As he watches Lute walk up to him, Louis grits his teeth, and his body suddenly disappeared from view. Looking around, Lute saw Louis appear in the distance with bruise marks all over his body while he clutches his left arm in pain.

"I must say, you've truly surprised me, but I'll finally show you our difference-"

Out of nowhere, Lute suddenly muttered a simple spell, almost causing Louis to reel back in shock, "[Time Acceleration]."

With a boom, Louis' body was flung into the wall of the arena in an instant before another blur suddenly appeared behind him, a sharp pain erupts from his back as he pukes out blood profusely. His body was flung far away, rolling through the ground and leaving behind a large trail.

"Pathetic worm," Lute muttered, his body appearing right above Louis' body covered in blood and stomping his leg down to Loius' chest. Glaring at him, Louis clenched his teeth and felt pain welling throughout his whole body, he didn't even have the time to heal himself and he was already being battered and bruised.

'Shit! If my shield gets destroyed, then I'll definitely die! My mana reserve is already running low with this monster's strength!' Louis thought before his body warped away once more to the sky.

Breathing deeply, he looks at Lute on the ground with trembling eyes before his bruised body slowly healed. Not only that, his mana rapidly regenerated through the enchantments on his clothes.

But without any warning, Louis suddenly saw Lute's eyes making eye contact with him, and he suddenly felt the back of his neck being grabbed by a monstrously strong grip. Looking to his back, he saw Lute's maniacal eyes filled with killing intent.

"Feeling scared, Louis? Well, this is only the start, I'll let you feel what it was like when we first met!" Lute shouted, his voice turning into a growl as a ginormous screen suddenly appeared in the middle of the arena they were in.

*** (Don Will Dead POV)

'W-What is this?! How come his mana is never depleting!' Don Will Dead while watching the fight, his soulfire eyes wobbling in shock as he clearly saw Lute's mana never depleting as if he truly held infinite mana.

"Feeling scared, Louis? Well, this is only the start, I'll let you feel what it was like when we first met!" Hearing his voice, Don Will Dead saw a ginormous purple screen appear in the middle of the arena below the flying Lute and Louis.

'The first time they met? Why does Lute have so much enmity with Louis in the first place?' Don Will Dead, his mind trying to find the reason for Lute's anger before his eyes widened in shock.

Inside a forest full of green trees and a landscape of dirt and grass, two people could be seen. One was a young man with black hair, purple eyes, light skin with pink blushes, wearing a dark green tunic shirt and white pants, he was currently sitting on top of a chopped tree stump, his name was Lute, an ordinary village boy. Beside him, a young girl could be seen that should be around the same age as the boy, with blond hair that reaches her neck, blue shining eyes full of youthful vigor, wearing a green dress, the inner was light green while the outer one was a darker shade, she was currently holding a light brown basket over her hands that holds some fruits, mushrooms, and wild vegetables, her name was Lydia, a normal village girl and childhood friends with Lute.

"Woah! The Reincarnates defeated the demons yet again!" the young man shouts with splendor in his eyes, sparkling like stars under the night sky.

"You really only talk about the Reincarnates, don't you, Lute?" the young girl sighs, shaking her head inside her mind.

"Well, that's because I respect them a lot! Aren't the Reincarnates fighting against Demon Lord troops so that people like us can live in peace?" Lute retorts with a smile of admiration, turning his head towards Lydia to lock eye contact.

"Yeah, yeah. I've heard enough already," Lydia responds while shaking her head.

"Ahh! I wanna go into the royal capital and become the Reincarnates' comrade too!" Lute shouts, staring into the piece of paper in his hand that shows the nine reincarnates standing heroically.

"That's impossible. You've said it yourself, haven't you? Their slashes cut through iron like butter, and their magic can drill through mountains. You know, you're the best at boasting about your own swordsmanship skills in this village." Lydia said teasingly, her left eye winking while her right arm covered her mouth.

"Gh- You hit where it hurts…" Lute shouts.

"But there must be something I can help with! Like carrying their bags," Lute desperately said.

But out of nowhere, Lydia leaned forward and whispered to Lute's ear, "Rather than a reincarnate from somewhere far away, I actually prefer a childhood friend close to me."

"Wh- huh?! Wh- what do you mean!" Lute shouts, his face blushing a tinge of red. But Lydia only looked into the distance with confused eyes and furrowed brows.

"Hey, Lydia!" Lute shouts.

"… Hey, Lute. The village, doesn't it seem a bit red?" Lydia said in horror, walking past Lute as worry appears in her eyes.

"Is it a fire!? Sorry, Lydia, but wai-" Lute said, preparing to stop Lydia from walking forwards but a whishing sound suddenly appeared behind him and a pair of hands grabbed his neck and the side of his hand, cracking it and knocking him unconscious in a split second.

The last thing Lute saw, was the back of a green-haired man walking toward Lydia who screams in fear.

(An Unknown Amount of Time Later)

'Was I sleeping? I was just at the village's outskirts with Lydia, wasn't I?' Lute thought, opening his eyes with a silent grunt, and saw the dark sky above him and his hand plop on the brown ground.

'!? I can't move my body.' Lute thought, but his attention was quickly caught by a strange sound that appeared behind him.

*Plap plap plap*

'What exactly… What's happening-'

What greeted his lifeless eyes was a harrowing sight, the green-haired man that he saw before he got knocked unconscious was fucking Lydia who was looking at the ground with lifeless eyes. The constant sound of flesh hitting flesh entered Lute's ears.

'I see, this is a dream. There's no mistaking it. He's "God's Mistake", Louis Crawford-sama.' Lute thought, but he was quickly interrupted upon hearing a new voice, the voice of a young man entered his ears.

"Hey, Louis! I was looking everywhere for you, and here you are slacking off!"

What entered Lute's sight were two more Reincarnates, "The Undead King," Don Will Dead-sama, and "Looper," Honda Yuuya-sama.

"Huh? Did I make some sort of mistake again?" Louis said, his closed eyes looking at the two with a nonchalant stare.

"Tch, just deal with the cleanup yourself," Honda said, scratching the back of his head with an annoyed face.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it. You say cleanup… But they're already dead."

'When I wake up, I will talk to Lydia a lot. Since to me, Lydia is…' Lute said his final thoughts, and finally, his vision fully turned into darkness.

***

Watching the video with wide eyes, he looks up to the sky and saw Lute had already taken off his mask, his grin was maniacal while Louis desperately breathed air, veins bulged from Louis' neck and his face turned purple from the lack of air.

"YOU REMEMBER THIS! LOUIS!" Lute shouted. The killing intent Lute was exuding caused the whole arena to become suffocating, his mere anger had seemingly taken on a physical form as he slowly descended down to the ground.

'No, no, no! This is the worst case scenario!' Don Will Dead thought, his soulfire eyes widening in shock as he finally learned the truth.

"You ruined everything for me! Just because a demonic human was born in my village, you disposed all of us, for what?! The difference between humans and demons? Hah! That's the funniest joke I could have ever heard in my whole life! The real demons here are you guys!" Lute shouted, his eyes turning darker before a wooden sword manifested in his arm.

"The very sword I used to train with to try and become the Reincarnates' comrades, to think it would be the very sword that will bring punishment for your crimes!" Lute shouted, his arm hastily moving through the air and about to reach Louis' heart.

*Clang*

Within an instant, Kilt's jet black sword suddenly blocked Lute's wooden sword, stopping it in its tracks.

"Oho! So you want to play dirty!" Lute shouted, his grin widening further that it almost splitted his face into two. Within an instant, with Kilt taking the lead, the other Reincarnates hurriedly went to stop Lute.

"KIRA!" Lute shouted loudly, and Kilt suddenly widened his eyes and moved back like a shadow, and at the place he was standing, a beam of golden light suddenly appeared, moving through the entire arena and followed Kilt's body.

Not only that, they saw Lute rushing madly towards Loius' body at the other end of the arena, his wooden sword turning into a dark purple color while his grin turned manic and hungry for revenge.

But with the sound of metal clashing against metal, Roro Sendiger suddenly appeared before Lute, his two arms turned into black claws while draconic wings appeared from his back.

"You want to play with life, I'll play with evolution with you, motherfucker!" Lute shouted, his whole body then rapidly changed as a raven black armor enveloped his whole body, with a swing of his sword, Roro's body was flung backward while a loud boom exploded.

Behind him, Shijou Yukiko appeared with hundreds of metallic knives followed behind her. But with a flicker, Shijou's eyes widened while Lute's armored fist rapidly approached her face.

"[Teleport]," with a flash of white light, Shijou found herself beside Don Will Dead who was now surrounded by Death Knights. With her battle experience, she quickly adjusted and controlled her knives to fight against Lute from a distance while Flare conjured a ginormous fireball in the far distance.

With attacks from all sides, Lute found himself now stuck in an area where he can't escape… If he was fighting alone, that is.

"RAIDEN!"

Just like that, the whole world suddenly came to a halt.

Appearing from the darkness, Raiden slowly walked towards Lute and grabbed him. "Sigh, everything really went chaotic, huh? I guess it's up to me to fix this all."

And so, Raiden put Lute in a place that was relatively safe and walked up towards Louis in the distance. At his speed, the whole world was like in stopped time for him, so with casual movements, he grabs Louis' chest and saw two golden strands being siphoned by his arm.

With a blank face, he continued to walk around the chaotic arena and grabbed the other Reincarnates on their chests, siphoning off golden strands one by one without worry.

Waving his arm, Raiden watches as a tear in space-time appears and he tosses the golden strands inside, for the purpose of those strands, 'Papa did say it would be for research. Though I wonder what those strands were.'

Closing the tear, Raiden casually strolls out of the arena and walked at rapid speeds out from the capital city of the Holy Kingdom, to even going outside the kingdom itself and finally arriving at the open plains with no buildings nor blockage in sight, an area where he can freely run with all his might.

'Operation: Paradoxical Time Travel – Trial 1, start!'

Crouching down, Raiden looks into the straight area ahead of him and takes a deep breath. With a burst of crimson lightning around him, he could feel the endless energy swirling inside him connecting with his very body. His whole world turned slower, the colors turned into the very visible spectrum of light, from red, orange, yellow, etc; his whole perception turned into a rainbow of colors.

With full concentration, Raiden closes his eyes to prepare for what might happen next, and his legs took off from the ground with a burst of speed. Just like that, his body ran through the open fields at such speeds that caused the fields of space-time around him to radically warp.

'FASTER! MOVE FASTER! BE FASTER THAN LIGHT ITSELF!' Raiden shouted, he could already feel the speed force coursing through his body. Without stopping, without any notion of wanting to stop, the whole area around him passed by like a flash, until finally…

***

"You ruined everything for me! Just because a demonic human was born in my village, you disposed all of us, for what?! The difference between humans and demons? Hah! That's the funniest joke I could have ever heard in my whole life! The real demons here are you guys!" Lute shouted, his eyes turning darker before a wooden sword manifested in his arm.

"The very sword I used to train with to try and become the Reincarnates' comrades, to think it would be the very sword that will bring punishment for your crimes!" Lute shouted, his arm hastily moving through the air and about to reach Louis' heart.

*Clang*

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Kilt widened his eyes as a crimson sword blocked his own sword from stopping Lute. As he widened his eyes and saw Lute's sword about to stab Louis by the heart, it suddenly stopped and his face turned unnaturally calm and serene.

"Just kidding! You really thought I was going to kill Louis Crawford, huh?" Lute suddenly cackled, causing the whole arena to abruptly turn silent.

A boy suddenly appeared, Lute suddenly became calm, Louis didn't die, and the sudden twist of events left everyone muddleheaded.

"W-What do you mean?" Kilt finally asked, sheathing his black sword and watching Lute put down Louis on the ground.

"Well, I'm really not mad at Louis anymore. Remember when I said the previous Lute died already? Yeah, I gained amnesia and basically, my time as Lute was already gone, so my animosity was mostly fake. Like, why would I openly want to make enemies with the Reincarnates? That's a pretty fucking stupid move, a move only a revenge-filled idiot from fictional stories would do. But, considering Louis is a rapist who raped my childhood friend and previous crush, I'll take something from him to make things fair," Lute said, waving his wooden sword, and there it was, they saw a piece of dangling flesh fly to the air the shape of a phallic rod.

"An eye for an eye, a raped virgin for a reincarnate's dick. A worthy trade if I say so myself," Lute said, before grabbing it barehanded and storing it inside his storage space.

"Okay! Now that's done, I'll officially announce that the Magic Kingdom is taking a neutral stance on the matter. Considering the Reincarnates have done some atrocious deeds, except you Honda, and Imerda, I still treat you guys as the real good guys because you guys didn't try to attack me! I won't allow such dangerous technology to be handed to a group of misfits. And yeah, that's pretty much it, sayonara motherfuckers, [Gate]."

Just like that, a purple gate appeared beside Lute as Kira and Aldrich reappeared beside them.

"W-Wait!" Suddenly, Holly Grandestine rushed towards them as a board of light carried her down.

"And what could I do for you, Saintess-sama?" Lute asked.

"P-Please read this, it is an urgent matter that is directly related to the entire Holy Kingdom and church," Holly Grandestine said, passing an ancient book to Lute who raises his eyebrow.

"[Read Book]," with a flash of light-blue light, Lute's eyes widened in shock before he asked.

"So you're saying that my husband, Kira, has the proclaimed fragment of god that is the reason why he can wield that strange golden light? How do you even know he has that strange light power, he has never used it in public," Lute asked.

"We have our ways considering how important it is to the church," Holly Grandestine smiled.

"So, you want my husband to stay with the church so that you can learn more of that fragment dropped by the Goddess of Light against his fight against the Demon Lord more than a thousand years ago?" Lute asked.

"Yes," Holly Grandestine said.

As the conversation turned silent for a second, Lute looked at Kira and Kira nodded his head, "Fine, he'll stay with you guys. Besides, I can just teleport to him whenever I want, so it's not really a problem."

"Thank you! Your good deeds to the church would be forever recorded in history! Especially you, Kira-san! You'll be known as the wielder of Divine Light and the champion of the Goddess of Light, Angelica-sama!" Holly Grandestine bowed her head continuously.

Nodding his head silently, Kira turned his body towards Lute and Raiden, who took him into a tight hug.

"Are you leaving, Papa?" Raiden asked, in return, Kira nodded his head silently.

"You don't need to worry about your Papa being gone, we can visit him whenever we want later with my magic," Lute said, easing Raiden's worries.

"Your father is right, Raiden. Distance doesn't matter, especially when we have the Akashic System on our hands," Aldrich laughs, patting Raiden on the back.

And so, bidding their sudden farewell that came unexpectedly, the trio takes one last glance at Kira and the nine Reincarnates, before walking through the portal.

*** (A Few Hours Later)

In the dark void, two humanoid beings can be seen standing in front of a dark purple sphere. Their body was identical down to the atomic level, they held the same appearance, height, and weight, a perfectly identical copy if you will.

"I see, so the experiment was a success," a voice said from nowhere.

"Here's the golden strands you wanted, Dada!" Raiden said, walking forwards towards the purple sphere and tearing open a hole in space once more, taking out the golden strands, he watches as it was absorbed by the dark purple sphere.

"Good job, Raiden. Now, we must commence the final step of this operation," the voice said.

Nodding his head, Raiden turned his head towards the other him, the him of the past who hasn't time traveled.

Manifesting a crimson sword, Raiden simply waves his sword and watches as the other him transform into countless crimson shards of light, before dissipating away into nothingness.

Just like that, a whole slew of mysteries is now born under one single encounter, one single plan governed by the man in the shadows. From time travel to unknown objections, what would our giga brain genius do once more to further along his goals?

AN: This chapter has 4089 words.

Ugh, my mind is liquid right now. I don't know how the fuck the end is still coherent and good but that's what hundreds of hours entering this muddled state will do to ya, you'll get used to it that when your brain is mushed, it will feel like it's normal.

But yeah, Raiden is basically a living paradox right now where his past doesn't define his present, meaning... He's basically God. But if he is at that level already, who is to say that both Lute and Kira aren't?

Power stones, please.
