CHAPTER 40

He was drunk.She didn't want to be alone with a drunk as so she called for a cab.

"Itsuki are you okay?"She pulled his hand over her shoulder and heaved him up.Supporting his weight, she dragged him to where the cab was waiting.

"Have you ever be in love?"

That statement threw her off guard.He was seriously wasted but she replied anyway.

"No"

"But you got married, didn't you?" He drawled .

"Richard and I didn't love each other.Maybe at first but we didn't really click"

Itsuki looked up to the sky dreamily." I was once in love too with a girl named Sue Dearborn but she left me . I really loved her"

Sue scoffed.Suddenly, the tiny path to the cab seemed much longer.

"You're just drunk

He got into the cab and waved her goodbye. Everything was good but yet a heavy lingering truth was buried in her heart.
