The sun had yet to rise on the second day after we left Chang Guo Zi and the other teams when we arrived at the outskirts of City B.
We had left the other teams in the dust, literally and figuratively speaking. My ability to pull the energy from everything around me and give it to the guys meant that they never tired. Of course, the hundreds of zombies that we had come across had helped with that, too.
"This—" grunted Cheng Bo Jing as the eight of us stood next to a sign welcoming us to City B. "This is not what I pictured at all."
That seemed to be a common statement lately. Nothing ever appeared the way I expected it to, and that left a bit of disappointment in its wake.
