Chapter 3

''She looks like a blue parrot...''

It's that voice again, my soulmate's. But... he's not speaking... he's... singing.

''Would you come fly to me..''

''What are you doing stop it'' i say in my mind trying to talk to him. As terrible as it sounds.

''I wish you good night, good night, good night...''

Is he singing me a lullaby right now.

''I said stop it, get out of my mind''

''I- I'm sorry, i wanted to help you get to sleep''

''I never asked you to do so''

''Oh um.. I'm sorry. I'll leave you alone now''

And then nothing. I felt empty. I've never felt this way before. It's as if an important piece of me was taken away from me. And it was him. His voice brings me a feeling of security and for a moment I felt as if I was laying in his arms ready to sleep, it was... wait what am I saying? This stupid soulmate connexion makes me say things that I don't even mean. Yes exactly, it wasn't me, it was my soul. Right! Okay, YN you are okay. You just have to find something to distract you from all this bullshit. I look around me and find my laptop on the coffee table. Oh, right I never got to edit the dance video. I'm gonna start working on it right now. It's probably gonna be my last time dancing with the team since I'm moving to Korea soon. What if I meet my mom and brother there? I could finally see them. But, oh wait, they live in Busan and I'm going to Seoul since it's there where Felix is. OK OK. Stop thinking too much, the most important thing is that you're going to be a choreographer!! OMG! I just can't wait. I finish editing the video and then post it on YouTube. I have to make sure that I say goodbye to my team before leaving.

''YN wake up, what is this?''

''Dad, give me five more minutes, please''

''No YN wake up, and explain this to me''

I groan as i take the blanket off of me and sit up straight to face my dad.

''What?'' I say pissed at him for not letting me sleep.

''What is this? When did you get it? You never told me about it''. He says as he shows me an envelope with some writing in Korean. As soon as i realise what it is my eyes go wide and i take the envelope from dad, as i stand up from the couch.

''It's here already?''

I open it carefully trying not to tear it apart. I look at the date of the flight.

''Tomorrow?!''

''Care explaining why, when i get back here and check the mailbox i find a ticket to Korea?''

Right, i totally forgot about him, how do i get to convince him to let me go?

''You're going to see your mom and brother right? Are you willing to leave me alone?''

''What! No. Dad, it's not what it looks like''.

''Then what is it huh? I did all my best to make you happy and that's how you're thanking me? By leaving me behind?''

''Dad, can you at least listen to me, you're acting like a woman who's getting dumped by her boyfriend or something''

I take a deep breath in and talk.

''Do you remember Felix?''

He pauses for a moment to think.

''Oh the boy with the freckles, yeah i do he was a very nice guy, what about him?''

''Well last night he called me, and said that he got me a job at the company that he's working with. It was him that bought me the ticket. And i honestly didn't have any idea that i'm leaving tomorrow.''

''So you are leaving me alone.''

''Dad, it's life, i'm a grown woman now. I can't stay under your roof forever.''

''I just can't believe that you've grown that fast.''

''Dad, you're getting emotional again''.

''Just come here.'' He says and opens his arms for me to come and hug him. I roll my eyes playfully and i run to his embrace.

''I'll miss you, YN.''

''I'll miss you too dad, but we can always see each other if I come and visit or if you do''

''Sure'' he lets go of me. He seems deep in thought for a moment before asking this:

''What if.... you meet your mom and brother there?''

'' I doubt that I'll be in Seoul and not in Busan, so I don't think that I'll meet them, and even if I do I don't think we'll recognize each other. I mean it's been forever.''

'' It's not that I don't want you to meet them it's just, I don't know how they'll react, as you said it's indeed been forever.''

''Don't worry, I'll be alright'' i give him a reassuring smile. And I head off to the kitchen to eat my breakfast. When I finish I do the dishes and go to my room to start packing and I decided to put some music on. I find a music recommendation: Itzy- Mafia in the morning. Hmm, it's a JYP girl group. I play the video and their visuals leave me shook. The song is also really cool. I continue packing and when I feel tired I decide to visit Angelina to tell her the news. I send her a text message to see if she's home and she replies with a yes. I change into something different and then go to her place.

When i get there, Matthew, Angelina's soulmate, opens the door for me.

''Oh hey there, YN.''

''How are you? Is Angel in her room?''

''Yes she is. Well see you later YN.''

''Oh you're leaving already?''

''Yeah, i was leaving when i opend the door for you''

''Okay then, ciao''

He chuckles at my accent, then waves me a goodbye. I get inside and close the door behind me.

When i told Angelina that i'm leaving she started crying.

''I'll miss you so much. You better come visit me or else you'll have to deal with the consequences''

''Of course i will''

We continue chatting for a while when she suddenly asks me:

''What about your soulmate, you're supposed to meet him tomorrow''

''You're right, i didn't think about it. Well see, i told you that i'll find a way to escape his encounter''

She shakes her head in disbelief.

''Well i have to go now, i still have to finish packing''

''Okay, i'll see you tomorrow when i'll go with you and your dad at the airport.''

''Sure''

Aargh my back hurts i just finished packing, and i'm exhausted. After leaving Angelina's place i went to bed farewell to my neighbors and my dance team as well.

I should get to sleep. My flight is in the early morning tomorrow.

''Don't forget to call me when you get there''

''Sure, i will'' i say as i'm still in my dad's arms.

''Dad i should go now''

''Right. Stay safe.''

''And don't forget about us'' says Angelina as she takes me in her arms as well.

''I will never.''

After all the goodbyes and tears i let go of my beloved family and head to my flight.

It's been two hours into the flight and i still have eight other looong hours till i arrive to Korea. I suddenly feel nervous. What if Felix doesn't like me? Or what if he has changed from where we were younger? I just hope it won't be too awkward.

An idea suddenly pops in my head. I take my laptop out and put it on top of the little table that pops out of the seat infront of me. I enter Google and type in the research barr: Lee Felix. He's now an idol so i guess he's pretty famous.

Here it is. Oh. My. God. Is this really him! He's so handsome. I guess puberty did a great job on him. Not that he was ugly back then. But he really did change. The group that he is with is named Stray Kids. Funny name.

I decide to listen to a song of them on YouTube. 

Hm it's a solo song of a member named Bang Chan. The song is titled Don't Want To Acknowledge. I put my headphones on and play the video. When i suddenly realized something.

Tell me that there is a way to go get out of this plane! That can't be him right? Please tell me it's not him!
