Goblins Playground

After a lengthy journey at Enchanta Grove, Bellator finally left as memories of the time he had spent there resurfaced in his mind.

'Fuck that place, I never want to go there again,' Bellator thought as he happily left.

Going to a nearby grocery store, Bellator purchased some more food for his journey.

'I should probably buy a flashlight,' Bellator thought, considering his next destination.

Planning out his journey, Bellator looked forward to entering his first dungeon.

'Unlike Enchanta Grove, this should only take a day at most to complete.'

Heading to the bus stop, a black bus appeared.

Climbing aboard the bus, it was packed, with not a spare seat in sight.

'Guess I'm gonna have to stand' as the bus flew at high speeds to its destination.

The scenery changed as he left District 3.

[We have arrived at District 4.]

A robotic voice echoed in the bus as it reached its destination. Getting off the bus, Bellator instantly noticed the contrast between District 3 and District 4.

'The houses here look more rundown than in District 3, well, it's still way better than the houses in District 5.'

Using the GPS on his Z-Watch, Bellator quickly found what he was looking for.

Ahead of him, various stalls could be seen, with people selling stuff ranging from food, armor, weapons, and even low-tier skills.

These people surrounded the area around the dungeon as they tried to attract the attention of hunters.

"Hey kid, why don't you try these gauntlets? They raise your strength by a whole rank," a man said, spotting Bellator.

Ignoring the man, Bellator continued walking as different people each tried to sell him things.

'As if I'm dumb enough to buy any of those items; most of them are fake anyways,' Bellator thought, grateful that he could use Inspect.

As he got closer to the dungeon entrance, guards with the Central Union insignia could be seen standing in front of the dungeon, guarding it.

Lines of people of different ages could be seen queuing, as different parties tried to enter the dungeon.

After 15 minutes of waiting, Bellator finally reached the entrance of the dungeon.

"Your hunter license," the guard asked as he looked at Bellator.

"Hunter license?" Bellator asked, confused.

"Yeah, your hunter's license. Let me see it," the guard said in a stern voice.

'Fuck, I don't have a hunter's license' Bellator thought as he brainstormed ways to enter the dungeon.

"Will my Academy card work?" he asked, hoping to get in.

"Yes, now hurry up; there are other people in line," the guard responded sternly.

"Um, give me a second," Bellator said as he messaged his mom.

"Hey, we don't have all day; if you don't have your license, just leave the line," a snobby-looking guy said from behind Bellator.

Being forced to leave the line, Bellator messaged his mother.

[Hey mom, can you send me a copy of my academy card?] Bellator asked as he sent a message.

[So after a week of no communication, the first message you send me is to ask for your Academy card; do you have any idea how worried I was...]

*Sigh*

'She is pissed.'

After countless apologies to his mother, she finally sent him a copy of his academy card.

Going to the back of the line, Bellator had to wait for another 15 minutes before he reached the front.

"You again, if you don't have you—" The guard spoke before being interrupted by Bellator.

"Here," showing him his official academy card, the guard kept his mouth shut as he read the words on it.

Seeing it read Limitless Academy, the guard immediately changed his demeanor as he spoke in a respectful tone.

"Yes, you may now enter, sir," the guard said as he bowed.

'I've finally made it to my first dungeon, G-rank, Goblin's Playground, here I come,' Bellator thought as he entered the green portal.

Entering the portal, nausea hit Bellator, and when he arrived in the dark, damp cave, all the contents of his stomach left as he puked.

As he spent the first 5 minutes of his first dungeon encounter hunched in a corner, puking out the contents of his lunch.

'This is not how I expected my first dungeon to go,' Bellator thought as he continued puking.

After 10 minutes, it seemed the contents of his stomach had fully emptied out, and Bellator finally stopped puking.

'Okay, now G-rank, Goblin's Playground, here I come,' Bellator thought as he wearily surveyed his surroundings.

The cave appeared damp, an uncomfortable heat permeated the air, as a disgusting stench filled the air.

Walking around the cave, its narrow hall only led down a single path, yet the deeper Bellator ventured, the more spacious the cave became.

"Kkrieekk," ahead of Bellator, two goblins could be seen.

Their pale green skin, their long pointy noses, and their small stature comparable to a first grader were illuminated only by the torches on the walls around them.

'The cave is still too narrow; I won't be able to swing my sword freely,' Bellator thought, making a quick deduction.

Each goblin held a single small dagger which seemed overcome with rust.

'At least I won't have to worry about any other humans entering.'

No other humans would be able to enter the same dungeon as Bellator, well at least unless they entered at the same time, one of the few benefits of a double dungeon.

In the world of [Luminous Conquest], there were 3 different classifications for dungeons, each with its own set of rules.

The first was a basic dungeon; these dungeons were landscapes that varied in size and environment, repeatable, and would never close no matter how many times they were cleared.

The second was a one-time dungeon; these dungeons were pocket dimensions to another world, consisting of normal monsters and one boss monster, with higher difficulty and better rewards.

The third was a double dungeon; double dungeons were dungeons in which unless entered at the same time, people would be sent to different versions of the same dungeon. No matter how many people entered, they would never enter the same place, yet would be in an exact copy of the same dungeon. The truth, known only to Bellator, was that each double dungeon was a dungeon with a hidden dungeon within it, containing extraordinary rewards and certain conditions to awaken the hidden dungeon within it.

'Well, there is a fourth type of dungeon, but it should only be discovered in 7 years,' Bellator thought, recalling the information from the novel.

Staring at the goblins ahead, Bellator only had one way to fight them.

'I'll have to fight them using my fists; the cave is too narrow for a sword.'

Taking a step towards the goblins, Bellator's first fight in a dungeon started.

Author Note: Sorry for another info dump; I just wanted to get the classifications of dungeons out of the way. Anyways, can anyone guess what item Bellator will get? That was a rhetorical question; I won't be able to see your answers as when this releases, I won't have access to Webnovel. Though when I come back in January, I would love to see your comments and reviews of the story.

PS: Don't forget to add the novel to your collections.
